An interesting twist i think you could throw in is having a Sayian scientist actually listening in to bardock and his squad at the behest of King Vegeta, and have this scientist warn a few lower class and mid class Sayians that hadn't arrived to Planet Vegeta to stay away. Maybe have the strongest of them put into Vegeta's crew and the others separated into a subordinate crew put together similarly to bardock's. Just an idea to validate Bardock's paranoia

A solid start and I hope this gets another part. Though I am curious at how this dynamic is going to work. Goku not hitting his head and still having his family could lead to a very different version of Kakarot in the long run. And potentially Grandpa Gohan surviving will all together lead to a very interesting version of nature vs nurture

I think a funny joke for part 2 or 3 is to have Bardock think yamcha is a rouge saiyan on account of his name being vaugely saiyan (Yams being sweet potatoes) and him having black hair and eyes, and obviously above the battle power of other humans. If you want to go further you could have bardock take him as a pupil so as to ease his own embarrassment or to get the bandit to man up in front of women.

I've always liked this idea of what if Bardock, Gine, and Raditz coming to Earth with Goku. 👍 I mean Gine getting off Planet Vegeta works, given she isn't really strong, but I was wondering how Bardock would get off here. 🤔 So seen what he did make sense. 👍 With Bardock been there he can easily stop both Kakarot and Raditz's Great Ape Form which would be nice to see Grandpa Gohan been alive in a what if. 👍 Anyways another really good start to this new series, and looking forward to the next part soon.

@@Azure_dragon2.0 Fairly sure there isn’t a piece of official material that lists it but I would assume most certainly not. 2k was Fasha’s pl from the original special iirc but that’s about it. Gine’s power likely wasn’t even 1/5th of Bardock’s because what is stated officially is how notably weak and gentle she was compared to him. It’s also unlikely she’d have been stronger than adult Raditz was because even if a coward he by basic logic would have greater potential for growth than his parents like most saiyans and also presumably served as a warrior longer than her, and he at least got to over 1/10th Bardock’s power

Have you ever considered going with a more head cannon approach for your dragon ball what ifs? I don’t mean making fanfictiony what ifs, but I mean just fixing instances of bad writing without changing the story too much. Like the whole “absorbing ssg into your base form” thing. The fact that Super Saiyan god gave goku that crazy of a boost, then he absorbed that into his base, stacked it with god form, multiplied it by 50 with ssb then multiplied it by 20 with kaioken and was still not the strongest in the multiverse is ridiculous. It raises questions like “why haven’t any other universes G.O.Ds trained their warriors” and also makes goku and vegeta seem weak in the sense that a lot of other ppl would easily get stronger than them given god ki. I’ve thought about other little things like making gotten and trunks more relevant or messing with powerscaling a bit to make the story seem more realistic. I figure deviating from the source material too much may make weird stories though, but this is just a suggestion.

I would agree hence me setting up absolutely so much in story to create a junction for him where he acts out of character somewhat and thus puts himself on a new arc that will change his character. Also why I said I'm stitching multiple interpretations of Bardock in here. Oh also, thats not necessarily true, Bardock actually avoids fighting the Heeters at first, plus the fact he is a low-class warrior that's gotten as strong as he is means Bardock has either always been very lucky or he is wise enough to pick and choose his battles and assess risk even originally I'm pretty sure he was aware he wasn't coming back from confronting Frieza, thats even a point I make in the video he's still Raditz's dad too so cunning and cowardice aren't traits he would have uniquely possessed and even Vegeta as the most saiyan indvidual we meet in the series does sneaky underhanded things because victory and survival mean even more than pride, Bardock deciding to run cause his friend's last wish is that he and his kids survive and then being deeply upset by that decisions and its outcome at first is EXTREMELY within character, as is his being spiteful towards Frieza and acting as a leader lol
