As a Davey Allison fan, I certainly enjoyed this very well thought out and calculated look at this alternate timeline had he not unfortunately had his career and therefore his life cut shortly as well. There's no denying that Davey was as good as anyone if not better than the rest of the competition on some of his better days (Which were fucking epic bar none) and that he would have most likely wound up as a multi-time past champion of the Cup Series with at least forty-to-fifty odd victories to boot at the very least considering he already logged half that amount even then. Whenever Ernie took over Davey's car and was on par with Dale Earnhardt throughout much of the '94 season, Larry McReynolds and Robert Yates ran a lot of Davey's setups from previous years and he was the most dominant 'till he nearly lost his life in that practice crash obviously at Michigan. One can only imagine what Davey would've done in those same racecars with most of the same approaches. He'll always be a wonder to me regardless.

I think he Davey would have a full career. I think he would have stay in the 28 for his career. But I think he also would have gotten more involved with Bobby Allison team and becomes a part owner of it, like Earnhardt had with DEI. He would have been the link to have the 2 teams working together and making the fords stronger.

If Davey lived I believe there would still be a RYR to this day Davey may have retired in 2010 or somewhere around that with at least 4 championships 128 wins and Brad Keselowski would take his place in the 28 and take over where Davey left off winning 3 championships by now and 36 wins and still driving the 28 car and oh btw the 38 and 98 are all yates cars with the 78 part time in the 38 would be carl edwards and the 98 would have kurt Busch in it and has been in it since 06 all 3 full time yates drivers have a championship or 2 multiple wins by each driver and the 78 would be for Ryan Blaney a rookie part time at first then goes full time and by this time the team is called Allison yates racing AYR Because Davey becomes part owner of the team and it is the most dominant team in nascar and we are all wondering Jeff Gordon who and jimmie johnson who because neither of them win a championship at all and hendicks the team that can't find victory lane anymore Davey at 50 years old has 10xs more talent than gordon or johnson put together that was the toughest son of a gun I have ever seen in my life in nascar drivers like gordon or johnson could break a finger nail and be out 3 races sorry I have never in my life witnessed a person with such a great great character that is so damn tough and determined and talented in my life that's why that man was my hero I was 15 when he died I felt as if I had lost a brother he was my favorite my hero and still is to this day and I'm 43 and still a nascar fan have been since I was 5 years old and never in my life have I seen a driver or a person like Davey a great person all around and hell of a race driver and yes he was better than dale Sr better than jimmie johnson better than Jeff Gordon mark martin rusty wallace I belive in my heart the only record he wouldn't have broke was the king's 200 wins but I say he gets 128 to 150 had he lived 4 or 5 maybe 7 championships hell he would have gotten 8 if he had lived he was taken before his prime back then a driver could be competitive well into their 50s look at mark martin so I think each year Davey along with Larry mac and yates power get better and better each and every year and then grows to a 2 then 3 then 4 car team by the time Davey retired from driving and then the 4 car team owned by Davey and doug yates are the powerhouse of nascar it replaced hendrick and does even better than hendrick and have the dream team Brad k in the 28 carl edwards in the 38 and oh btw they are friends not foes in this timeline kurt Busch in the 98 and then young ryan Blaney in the 78 I chose 78 because I was born that year lol and now it's 2021 those 4 drivers are the king's of nascar wins 2. 3rds of the races Brad gets his 4th cup kurt retires at the end of the season and in the 98 we get chase Briscoe and for 2022 carl edwards still in the 38 Blaney in the 78 and Brad still in the 28 for the 2022 season and what a season it's gonna be for Allison yates racing
