OK, here is my personal theory on what happened to Izu one he was chased upstairs onto the roof where the extras/bullies kept pushing him and joking around with him, and they took it a little too far and he slipped and fell off the building where he died in the ambulance Since we don’t know exactly when Izuku woke up, he could’ve been in the coffin or even before the coffin, but that would mean other people would’ve had to known that they’re not putting a body in the coffin so it’s possible that he woke up in the coffin and because His body wasn’t technically physical more like he basically phased out of it, and didn’t realize that he was alive again in a weird sense. I think the activation of his quirk was him dying that or it was a stress manifestation. It really depends on how the author wants to play this universe, sometimes it’ll be that Izuku was indeed Clist, but it was a stress manifestation or some people will play it as he was never Kirkless and he got diagnosed and has nothing to do with him at all. He was planning on harvesting his quirk once it manifested so he told him preemptively that he didn’t have one maybe because his dad was a villain somebody Did this to make him hate his son etc. etc. there’s a lot of possibilities but all I’m going to say is I’m very happy that there is even the slightest possibility that he is still alive. Otherwise him and Todoroki kissing would’ve absolutely destroyed me because they essentially can never be together, but now there’s a possibility, especially with eri.

That was literally my first thought when it was an explicitly explained how he died. I was like the extras came after him again I was like he died with his shoes on don’t know if he just decided not to take off his shoes, but like most suicide situations in stories, they take off their shoes, and the fact that he still has them, he didn’t take them when he died which means he didn’t have time to take them off, which means he was shoved and I think he is such self deprecation that he doesn’t realize how wrong that is
