The water is barely 20km deep in the worst case, the difference in mass between the two sides would be negligably tiny in comparison to the total mass, and it's effects would take geological timescales to make a difference on its rotation.

@@denzelklarenaar5883 given that the universe had a beginning it means that the creator of the universe has to be outside of the universe meaning time space and matter therefore must be infinite. Not only center, most of Pangea was desert milions years, there get a plants only after strong vulcanic period that spread water across the continet and then it was covered by a jungle. If we would have stable 50% planet ground there could be giant jungle with desert according to that how would mountains form.

It has been thought that most earth-like planets found in the habitable zone will be about half land half sea. Also, there is a suggestion based upon the makeup of the moons Ganymede and Callisto, that some watery seas may be hundreds of miles deep. There will probably be mostly water and mostly land worlds, but perhaps not as often as the happy medium.

@@liberatedentrepreneur149 With ocean currents, I've wondered how it might be for Earth if for example the continent of Africa was disconnected from the Middle East and positioned way further south thus enlarging the Mediterranean and red Sea. Bring it down where the -45 line of latitude would go across South Africa instead of -30 latitude thus having it be roughly where Maine, southern France and northern italy would be in the northern hemisphere. Also disconnect Columbia and Panama from each other and move South America where Brazil's eastern most shore Bulge would touch the -30 line of longitude, thus having a wide gap connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans down in the tropics.

If Earth were half land and half water, it would likely have a significant impact on the planet's climate and ecosystems. The distribution of water and land affects weather patterns and ocean currents, which play a major role in regulating temperature and precipitation. Additionally, the proportion of land and water also determines the types of plants and animals that can survive in different regions. Without land to support terrestrial life, the diversity of species would likely be greatly reduced. Additionally, it would be difficult for human civilization to sustain itself if the majority of the planet's surface was covered in water.

funny, your picture divides the land and water vertically but, what if it was divided hemisphericaly? All water on the northern or southern hemisphere and land the rest

Then it would be way more catastrophic. If it was the southern hemisphere, thats most of africa and south america and australia gone, which means mass extinction and the amazon pretty much being wiped out. If it was the northern hemisphere it would still be catastrophic. there would be a lot more death as major countries such as America, Russia and china and Europe are in the northern hemisphere

I direct think about how the half is set. Half like daylight change, or just one pole sided. If we would be able to change this, guess stripes of lang around the rotation - avoiding lang masses along the dry zones (Hadley) to avoid desserts. Fun thoughs yes ...
