3:08 The thing with english is that if you misspronounce a word even a tiny bit, you may actually end up saying something completely different. In this example, a few phonetical changes made him go from saying "spit take" to "spite taki"... XD

I've wished over the years I could just instantly switch to this pronunciation style (or another combination of fixed vowel pronunciations) whenever I felt like it. Kinda interested now what effects other combinations of the vowels could produce, like the different moods of musical keys.

I have a harder project: Find every possible environment every English vowel phoneme can be found in, and make sure every one gets a new vowel or dipthong sound. Just crank the consistency down to 0... actually I guess that'd also be consistent?

I have just randomly found this follow-up while showing the original video to one of my students (I find it it very useful for teaching languages - especially for teaching how to think about them a bit more "open-mindedly"), it's great. Please, do a full new video with consonant consistency as well, as it sounds even better. "Knock, knock." But eventually (if your original selection hadn't be "somewhat arbitrary", you might well just have English read by a foreign native speaker of a phonetically-consistent language. (But it probably wouldn't be that funny.)
