What If EVERYTHING Required Ammo? BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - this is modded game mode made specifically to challenge me called tower tactics, wherein all towers require ammunition to shoot! Additionally towers shoot slower the more they do and there's a tax system... more in the video.

Tax should either... -Sell the monkey that sells for the closest amount you're being taxed for, them again for the remaining. -Continuously sell the weakest tower until it's payed off. -IMF debt.

Actually what Isab did to evade taxes is similar to how rich people avoid taxes, by buying having most of their wealth in forms that aren’t money then it can’t be taxed (it’s done differently in real life but it’s a similar concept)

I feel like an ammo-based system in BTD6 would likely involve making every tower and upgrade extremely cheap to place down (except for farming-based upgrades probably), BUT every single shot would take away an amount of cash unique to each upgrade, with higher upgrades generally consuming more cash. If you ran out of cash, your towers would stop shooting, forcing you to sell something to gain ammo. A variant of this, at least

how to balance the fatigue thing that favours slow atk spd towers: every second, check if the tower has attacked or popped a bloon in the past second. if yes, increase its fatigue by X amount. this way, all towers that have an attack speed higher than 1 per second are balanced. only very slow or ability-dependent towers (i.e. primary expertise or a maelstrom at the back) might be able to get around this system. to balance ammo, maybe it could scale off the tower's damage? so higher dmg towers use up more ammo per shot. but then this would favour low dmg high pierce towers... idk

Orca would be great for this since they do one big attack at a slower rate that rapidly attacks the Bloons with an AOE. Plus you can merge them together so that the fatigue of multiple Beast Handlers only goes up by the amount that one would cause, literally combining their attacks. Plus, high damage. Probably the main issue is that as a slow attacker they're going to be especially vulnerable to getting hungry, but with them and a couple of efficient cleanup towers by your side I think you can afford the tax. 10:13 Oh, OK, only if the AOE doesn't affect the Orca's fatigue I guess, because otherwise they do LOTS of damage. 11:41 Well, I guess the AOE doesn't affect it LOOOOL I assume the Engi top path is banned too here, and Heli Comanches, and Aircraft Carrier, and more

Maybe for support like glue or alch, fatigue should build up per hit, not per damage tick (or whatever the mod author is using) and instead the amount of fatigue per trigger is a lot lower than what the default is?

I feel like the implementation of fatigue is kinda wacky since you can just straight up ignore it and certain towers like the mortar just instantly gain full fatigue since it hits so many bloons. Personally I feel like the fatigue should be based on amount of attacks in general tweaked for each tower (lore wise I suppose) and instead of just paying money to undo the fatigue they should need ‘rest’ you choose to disable the tower for 1-3 rounds to reduce the fatigue. That way there is more nuance to the strategy side rather than just paying

You're looking for a mod that requires an upkeep per tower, which he may have already done a video on. The way the taxes work in this mod is a wealth tax. It incentivizes you to keep your wealth as low as possible by spending.
