It's really inconsistent with how training in Dragonball is supposed to work. @@Alejandro.Moctezuma Again that would be cool but unfortunately if it's a known thing in the universe that martial arts actually mattered then most of the villains would learn it and with the exception of Buu who probably wouldn't even be in the story anymore, Frieza would just learn otherwise he'd be overthrown and Cell and the Androids would just have it programmed in. (It really only leaves Tien and maybe krillen as the 2 people other than Goku who take their training seriously and even then Krillen drops off after meeting 18 so Tien probably just becomes the new vegeta)

Even a small amount of training pays off dividends for members of their race and a single year of training would easily multiply their power by ten times.
