Let's be honest with each other here, they were ACTIVELY nerfed. There isn't a reason for Gohan not training with Goku and Whis from time to time, or even HTC training. No reason for the Z fighters to get absolutely shreked in terms of character, power or even relevance(They're basically just special spectators with plot armor cranked to the max)

This gave me kind of an odd idea: What if Chi-Chi got back into fighting? This would start within the time skip between the Buu Saga and Battle of Gods. Feeling nostalgic about her encounter with Goku in the 23rd World Tournament, as well as seeing Gohan and Goten more focused on fighting, Chi-Chi gets the idea to seek out the Dragon Balls in order to restore her youth, and getting Bulma involved would have her want the same wish as well; wish is granted, Chi-Chi gets back into fighting, and since Goku failed to get Bulma to give Elder Kai a kiss, she promptly does so on the condition that he unlock her potential as well, just so she can (at least try to) keep up with the Saiyans. I like the idea of Beast Chi-Chi, so that's why I thought of this.

The problem is that we don’t know what “Beast” is a part of. It could be due to the unique Rage state that Gohan has (and if so, could Broly unlock such a state. Are the anger abilities different?) or is it just a form unique to Saiyan Physiology? Could it be a form similar to Ultra Instinct where it is also a Technique, meaning that you can learn to achieve such a form, maybe from the Kai (due to the similar design motifs) We don’t know enough about Beast to say that Chi Chi, or really anyone other than Gohan can unlock it.

@@barstool9156 It is rather theoretical at this point, since Akira Toriyama can't be arsed to give us enough details; although the dialogue from Piccolo in XV2 suggests that anyone can get the form, as the humans that trained under Kami before Vegeta and Nappa arrived on Earth could have had access to the form at some point; it's likely that their power levels weren't high enough to unlock it just yet.

I have a really weird What If... What If when Goku was dropped on his head, he was more disciplined, more calm.
