The thing is Tanjiro in this scenario didn't lost his sister to the Demons but to the Demon Slayers, so it's quite unlikely that he'd join them but rather despise both factions as much and also seek revenge on both Muzan and the Hashira

The only problem is, is that tanjiro is too noble and good willed to hate and seek revenge people who protect others. He may resent the hashira and show them no respect but he'd likey end up living a lonesome life outside the corp, since the whole reason he became a demon slayer was to turn nezuko back to a human.

I'd argue that Tengen would be able to save everyone on the train actually. He's one of the faster ones out of the hashiras when it comes to just base speed. So he'd be able to get to parts of the train quicker than Rengoku would. Downside would be that he may not be able to use his explosives as freely. Also comparing rengoku getting zero deaths to Tengen getting many during the district arc isn't a good comparison. For one the district was way bigger to keep an eye on than the train. Naturally making deaths more likely to happen.

Here are things to note, Akaza promised not only to eat but as well as not to kill a women. So if Shinobu or Mitsuri were sent, Akaza would most likely to not only avoid them, but Injure them to the point where they can't do anything. Making the mugen train arc different.

Interesting thing about Tanjiro having the mark and transparent world like Yoruichi is that probably all the upper moons would die making Muzan the only threat and the demon slayer corp will eventually keep getting stronger and there will be more hashira then ever before and eventually Muzan would be hunted down and wouldn't win against so many hashira level slayers.

We'll think about it this way with the giyu route. Tanjiro loses his last remaining family member which by the way is his whole motivation for the series, tanjiro would probably become similar to sanemi and sanemi would see a kindred spirit in him. Tanjiros only goal now would be to kill muzan and avenge his family since there would be no reason for him to seek a cure to demonization. He'd become sanemis tsugoku and learn wind breathing instead of water breathing and would easily wreck everyone in final selection. He'd probably also be as strong if not stronger than kanao at that current point in the series. He'd meet zenitsu and inosuke the same way but would suffer far less injuries due to his better training from an actual hashira and his bloodlust and hatred for demons. He would actually be able to beat rui at mt natagumo because his better training would help him with contesting Rui long enough to unlock sun breathing. The only massive difference is that tanjiro would never encounter tamayo

You forgot about 1 important thing in the last scenario. Even though muzan would be afraid of the demon corps power he would still want to devour nezuko. So he would have to make an appearance if he wants her power to conquer the sun

For the first theory I don't think Tanjiro would die to Rui, if Shinobu took him in as her Tsugoku then Tanjiro would learn Butterfly Breathing which would be even more powerful because Tanjiro can cut the neck. He would also have 2 whole years to train in Butterfly Breathing before the events of Final Selection and afterwards he'll only get stronger. I'd also bet on him using poison in his moveset and being somewhat resistant to it. Now the Mugen Train Arc could play the same way. Entertainment District would get crazy, Tanjiro fights Daki first and almost wins causing Gyutaro to come out whilst Tengen and Tanjiro have an easier time fighting them, plus with Tanjiro's resistance to poison he wouldn't be more of a burden.

With the idea about if Douma was in the Entertainment District, I feel like Nezuko would try to attack him in between when Tengen dies and Tanjiro standing up because he harmed Tanjiro. Though Nezuko wouldn't be able to overpower him like she did with Daki since she struggled a bit with Uppermoon 5, she would still stall him a bit (and he'll probably get weird about fighting a strong female demon (but not the Akaza "I don't fight women" weird)). She'd probably get tired out and possibly trapped by Douma to try and let the sun burn her or she'd notice a injured human not too far away and lose control and try to eat them. It would be possible that Tanjiro would not be able to restrain Nezuko in this case which would lead to her eating a human and Tanjiro, Giyuu, and Urokodaki committing seppuku. In the end, Tengen would probably tell Tanjiro to run away since Douma is in the way of any able demon slayer (probably just Tanjiro) to behead Nezuko. Tanjiro, Giyuu, and Urokodaki will end up committing seppuku after Tanjiro's return. Due to this, Muzan would be able to consume Nezuko (if he tries to have her killed in the sunlight but finds out that she is immune), which in turn leads to Muzan's immunization to the sun. Since Tanjiro is dead, Tamayo would not receive anymore blood to try and make a cure/poison for Muzan. Because of the loss of the main character, one of the strongest hashira, and having no poison to weaken Muzan, the Demon Slayers would be unable to kill Muzan and since he is immune to the sun, he pretty much cannot be killed. This leads to Muzan killing the Demon Slayers and pretty much winning. I don't know, just my thoughts. :] Feel free to add anything to it, this is just how I imagine it would play out if Douma was there instead of Daki and Gyutaro.

in my au, because of gyomeys emotional and calm persona, we would lose one of the most funniest part of the entire season, also, ive got a feeling that destrying emmu would be a piece of cake, since he would probably go for the neck of the dmon,plus hes blind so the eyes cant effect him, but when akaza arrives, i dont think he would be able to achieve his dreams of becoming a donut maker due to gyomeys unbelievable strength and sharp senses, though because of akaza being upper moon 3, i do believe he will escape the sun.

Tanjirio dies doesn't mean there'll be no one left to stop Muzan, there'll be his kids and the kids of other hashiras who learned their parent's skills and inherited all their powers on top of the skills.. The only thing that could kill muzan is a special red blade user, being born with the demon slayer mark, transparent world, selfless state, Sun breathing 13th form and super hyper sonic speed, i don't think anyone in the next generation of tanjiro's family would ever get those things, Since his ancestor was Yoriichi's friend who learned the breathing technique, Plus since tanjiro has the demon slayer mark he would die before he could even teach his children sun breathing, and theres no chance they would be born with the demon slayer mark

Tanjiro would not have been killed by nezuko. Cuz at the beginning when giyu was running toward them ( before he arrives) we can see Nezuko crying while biting the axe. It probably shows she won't harm him.

@@t.d7517 I thought that was because she was confused, mad and hurt all at the same time. The only thing that would stop Nezuko from hurting tanjiro is how much of her humanity was still left in her. But at that point in the show it wasn’t there at all. most of that moment was him impossibly trying to calm her down (exactly because of what I said earlier, she’s confused). If giyuu took too long, things would just get worse until someone dies

Hmm... Muzan obviously didnt eat them, but it doesnt look like any of the family members died during the process of being turned into a demon. Muzan's blood would have destroyed their cells and turned them into a blob of flesh. I think Muzan entered the house while the whole family (other than tanjiro ofc) was inside. It was probably late at night and everyone was sleeping. I agree that Muzan wanted to make more demons, since none of kamado family members were eaten. I think Tanjiro's mother woke up and saw Muzan. Muzan explained that he wants to turn her and her children into a demons. Tanjiro's mother probably yelled, "NO" or something, which woke up the kamado children. I assume that the younger children cried while their mother yelled at Muzan. Nezuko probably grabbed the baby at this point. Muzan would have gotten annoyed at the crying and killed the younger sister. At this point, tanjiro's mother pleads with muzan to let her other children live and all the other children were in tears thinking they were gonna die. Muzan kills the younger brother and mother out of being annoyed. At the same time, Nezuko runs with the baby out the door before being stabbed from behind by muzan's whip, which would explain why she was the only one to be turned into a demon.

Honestly, I am still wondering why Tanjiro didn't become a hashira after the Village Arc. He already had the potential of becoming one, even if he was the weakest. I'd say he reached Rengoku's level at that point.

Without mitsuri keeping zohakuten (resent hantengu) at bay tanjiro would be wooped really quickly, and that's with the help of nezuko and genya. Not saying that rengoku would be able to kill hantengu since the fright version is too good at hiding, but he would at least be strong enough to fight until daylight.
