The more I look into Gnostic theology, the more I see the relation to this world. It is the only philosophy that I have seen that sort of reasonably explains the suffering and despair in the world. The Abrhamic god must be a sociopath for the way the world is.

Well that's not what the video concentrates on. It's focus is the idea that the Old Testament being "Yahweh/El/Jehovah/the Lord" may be the creator of this physical world but it's not the One true God that it sells itself to be. The video isn't trying to outline what the actual God is, but instead what the Gnostics thought of as the false god.

This information can become useful in the future, because some people are creating super advanced artificial inteligence and it would be really bad if it started to think it is alive. I see the false God as The Mimic. Something that replicates the life and its basic nature. There are many good stories as cautionary tales already. The Demiurge doesn't exist, at least not yet. So we better be careful as humans what we are doing with the technology.
