There's something special seeing Goku and Vegeta end on a draw despite their differences on SSJ levels. Goku focused on reaching new levels with SSJ3 while Vegeta treated SSJ2 the way Goku treated SSJ during the Cell Saga.

I actually propose the opposite theory- Vegeta isn’t really the type to perfect forms the same way Goku does. My guess is that this is a reference to Super Vegeta but now he’s Super Vegeta 2. I know there’s probably not a model swap, but I think that’s the way Vegeta would choose to level up the form. And I think this plays in to their characters in Z as well. Vegeta wanted to push past power and get more strength out of the super saiyan while Goku just wanted to make it feel natural.

Even in super, Vegeta in super saiyan was stronger than SSJ3 Goku. When Beerus hit bulma he was able to push back beerus for a while. Goku wasn't even able to hurt beerus or do anything in ssj3. You can say oh he was in super rage or whatever. None the less Vegeta SSJ form are stronger. Goku might have a higher max power, but everytime vegeta train he becomes stronger than goku was in his previous form. It is very likely that if Goku was to be unable to train for some time, that Vegeta would actually become stronger than Goku. Than again it could be that Vegeta is so obsess with Goku that becoming number 1 would make him lose his grit, and he wouldn't be happy and lose his spark, until Goku is able to surpass him again. But also Vegeta seem to be interested in being with his family more than Goku so, I can see a world where Vegeta simply retires and let Goku and Gohan take over the scene while he spend some quality time with Trunks and his daughter and wife.

Someone pointed out to me that the only reason Vegeta had that attire in the Buu saga was because he just came from the World Tournament, and armor is banned in the world tournament, and that's the only reason why he wasn't wearing his Saiyan armor that day. While here, on the day of a planned exhibition fight in a wasteland, he'd totally wear that armor for it.

Eh not really, while Kakarot's dlcs are a huge step up compared to the main game. They're still 15 bucks (worth it though, although the worst ones in my opinion are the Beerus and Golden Frizea. They only had one boss fight and a new form) It has nothing on Ragnarok's dlc since they did that FOR FREE. Remade OLD enemies in the new style, gave new abilities, and new boss fights.

Let's not kid ourselves. Pan is the child Goku always wanted. Gohan, despite his limitless potential and seemingly wild transformations, is still an academic. Sure, Goku loves Gohan, but he isn't the golden child he wanted. Fortunately Gohan gave him Pan. There is probably nothing a Saiyan loves more than a child who loves fighting as much as they do.
