Wow, I'm impressed by how faithful to the characters this feels. I believe Vegeta would break down in the presence of the legendary super saiyan, and try to use Goku to defeat Freeza. I believe Goku would form a temporary truce with the guy to save his friends, while still being smart and serious enough to be skeptical of Vegeta's true intentions. I appreciate that you didn't script this like a typical biased fanboy who just wants to glaze up their favorite character. Bravo! 👏

A saiyan needs a minimum power level of 100,000 to turn SSJ, as stated by Toriyama. The earliest Goku could have turned SSJ was probably sometime in space when he was traveling to Namek.

The only way I could see this working out at Namek is if Goku trains beforehand or at least on the way to Namek like he originally does, and even then he might have to off Frieza before he uses his final form or 100% (this is due to Goku likely not gaining the zenkai boost after the Ginyu fight like he originally does).

I don't think Goku would have heeded his pleas for mercy. Freeza killed Krillin, and Goku was absolutely inconsolable. Vegeta here killed him *AND* Gohan. His best friend and his son too. He'd hear about Namek and how to get there from Popo. Once there, as a Super Saiyan already, he'd trounce the Ginyu Force, Zarbon and Frieza. He'd make his wish, undo any damage Frieza did and leave.

Its so damn cool. But I think there is only one mistake. Vegeta didnt know Frieza killed his entire race until Dodoria in Namek saga told him about it. Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz thought it was a meteor, not a supernova from Frieza. So... tecnically, it makes no sense that Vegeta knew this at this point of the story. But for the other rest, I damn loved. Nice job.

Goku already being a Super Saiyan plus having Vegeta as a sparring partner on the way to Namek and arriving earlier than he did in canon... The Ginyu Force isn't even going to have time to show up in a scenario like this, and it wouldn't matter if they did. Goku and Vegeta both would way stronger by the time they got to Namek and even Freeza at full power wouldn't stand a chance. Goku alone would be strong enough to solo the saga.

Goku's power level and S cells were too low and he didn't achieve them until his training on the way to Namek with this fight as a help to that. It'd have been awesome if Goku did transform tho. There's a Xenoverse quest where Vegeta turns Super Saiyan against Goku for revenge for what happened on earth after they both defeat Frieza.

Even if he did he would lose to Freeza. He only got strong enough after almost being killed by Ginyu. Freeza was waaaaay out of their league, if Goku didn't get all the necessary boosts he got, his SSJ wouldn't be able to win.
