The only way a fight can give energy to Boo is from a Majin servant dealing damage. Shin feared that too much choas would open the seal like they broke it. But no energy would be given, just be unsealed at whatever % the gauge was at. Should have had Babidi some how swoop in at use his syphon on someone during that commotion
