What If Idea: What if Goku got lucky in the Cell Games? In that one moment, Cell actually does fall out of bounds. He wants to change the rules a little, but decides to be a man of his word, and simply leaves Earth after saying his goodbye. The Z Fighters continue their Earth journey, and Cell goes on his own, that allows him to grow stronger. Perhaps sensing Buu's Ki can bring him back to Earth after the 7 years.

A lot of people forget that having your tail grow back does make you stronger and it’s not just a GT thing, it happened in OG Dragon Ball, during Goku’s fight with Giran he was trapped and unable to break free but then his tail grew back and he did. The boost is admittedly probably not very big unless you want to include GT.

vegeta tries to fight frieza and forces him to use his thrid form after powering up to ikari and further when it still proves too weak. Goku rushes to his aid and with vegeta down he tries to fight frieza, as goku uses wrathful, he puts up a better fight but its still not enough. Although his power grows through out. Now nearly dead goku tries to use something he had been saving as a last resort, as he powers up into wrathful, suddenly a red aura surrounds him on top of that. Using kaioken on top of ikari he gets a massive power boost rushing towards frieza. But its still not enough as frieza powers up further. Although goku risks it all rushing towards frieza once more, this time in kaioken x10 on top of ikari. Providing a 10xs boost on top of the initial 10xs from wrathful goku would be at around 30 million. Frieza uses half of his power to overwhelm goku when he notices the sky turn dark. The others have collected the dragon balls as they make the wish to revive piccolo and bring him to namek. But then suddenyl the dragon balls turn to stone as frieza shows up angered. He goes to fire a deth beam towards dende but nail jumps in between. Dende tries to heal him but frieza rishes towards him with gohan and krillin trying to stop the emperor. They dont stand much of a chance, in the distance both goku and vegeta get up trying to get to the battlefield. Before they can though, piccolo shows up and ends up fusing with nail. Now helping gohan and krillin, vegeta and goku arrive and are healed by dende putting vegeta at 3 million and goku at 4 million. With their new found power then rush frieza together as he takes everyone else down. Gohan is the last standing as he too had accessed ikari for a short bursts but is knocked away. Frieza kills dende as the two saiyans try their best to defeat frieza. They put up a better fight but its still not enough. Mid fight goku has an idea as he tells everyoen to hold fireza off. He goes miles away powering up a spirit bomb. Everyone tries there best to hold frieza off as he hasnt noticed goku. Goku starts to request energy from everyone and he gets it, just as he does frieza goes to kill krillin but is them met by the spirit bomb which overtakes him. he tries to push it back but goku uses ikari and pours in more power. This completely engulfs frieza as this time, he is truly kiled. That took a minute to write but thats my take on what would happen next! good what if btw.
