The idea of allowing gt Goku to expirience super instead of just going back through gt and swamping all the opponents since he would know how to even prevent them from existing would be boring since Goku would not let pilaf use the black star balls so they would never encounter baby He would know not to fall for the trap in hell and would stop hell fighter 17 And he would make people stop using the dragon balls to prevent the shadow dragons So letting him go through supers route is wise since he dosent have prior knowledge on how to stop every threat A new journey for Goku has began although alot of the early fighters are going to be beaten much easier even hit The first big threats would be copy Vegeta and Goku black Since copy Vegeta and Goku black will take over the bodies of the current Goku and Vegeta therefore gaining there base powers and all other trick's And Jiren although Jiren would have a much harder time now Giving gt Goku Whis training is a disaster since he is already busted as shit
