If Akaza was killed, Tanjiro would not unlock is demon slayer mark. "Set your Heart Ablaze" - What rengoku told tanjiro. Moreover, in the Hashira Training Arc, Tanjiro learns repeated movements using this phrase. Effectively without the demon slayer mark, none of the hashira are coming out of the infinity castle alive. Kokoshibo would kill almost all of them without difficulty except tanjiro due to plot armour. Infact they would not even make it to the infinity castle arc since nezuko would not have conquered the sun. Also if Akaza dies in the Mugen Train Arc then Muzan would most likely change his plans. He wouldnt allow for any more upper moons to die. An upper moon meeting would be called and muzan would tell them like he told daki about tanjiro,nezuko,gyomei and he would say that if you see them tell me. When daki would see tanjiro she would tell muzan who would use Nakime's abilities to teleport either to tanjiro or tanjiro to him. Either way the anime would end in a sad way for the demon slayers where muzan oneshots tanjiro since he wouldnt play with him due to tanjiro killing his loyal supporter(akaza). In other words, without rengoku's death, tanjiro would never had mastered sun breathing or unlocked the demon slayer mark , nezuko would not conquer the sun and most likely the story would not have happened thus making rengoku dying a canon event.

With that logic, almost every event in the story so far would be a canon event. The initial Kamado family encounter, Giyu's entry into the story, the whole arc with Rui. While your statements are true within the in-universe context (without the occurence of said events, the story may very well go in other direction), certain events aren't dependent per se on these aforementioned canon events. For one, Tanjiro's growth as a swordsman was already well established even before the Mugen Train arc, as he's shown to display 'explosive growth in the midst of a battle' (the words of Sekido, i believe). Tanjiro learns from various encounters and mentors, not solely from deaths. His development as a swordsman, his understanding of the Breath styles, and his eventual mastery of the Sun Breathing are gradual processes that involve multiple experiences and challenges. And his Demon Slayer mark awakening is a manifestation of intense growth and heavy combat experience, against numerous battles against strong demons and members of the Twelve Kizuki. Rengoku's death did add to his drive to become stronger, but there's no reason to think he couldn't have achieved similar heights even if Rengoku did survive. Tengen survived, and for whatever it was worth, Tanjiro did look up to him even in the Swordsmith Village (the scene with hands and all, alongside Rengoku and Urokudaki). Also, Nezuko's ability to withstand sunlight wasn't dependent on any specific death but is a result of her unique transformation as a demon and her brother's unwavering belief in her humanity. This was established by Tamayo, that the reason she didn't gain her consciousness was because she was focused on conquering the sun. She wasn't shown to interact with Rengoku much, so it's not like his death affected her in any deep emotional or psychological sense. Akaza's death would change Muzan's plans most likely, yeah I agree with you on that one. But wrt to the other Upper Moons, Muzan didn't exactly have a plan in place. Gyutaro and Daki were long residing in the Entertainment District, and Tengen's investigation wouldn't have changed in any way. Unless the pair didn't go back after the Upper Moon meeting, the story wouldn't change much forward. About nakime's interference in the fight, well, she could have done a similar thing in the Swordsmith village arc in the battle with Hatengu and Gyokko. The fact that she didn't, tells me she likely wouldn't do anything in this storyline either. Even with Akaza's death (which Gyomei would be responsible, not Tanjiro), the events of Entertainment district do not pose a threat to Muzan, so I don't see why he would even try to interfere. Gyutaro may be more wary this time, so things COULD go a different way. But even in the main story, the demon slayers were at a disadvantage until the very end of the battle, so I could see Gyutaro behaving the same way even in this storyline. For swordsmith village arc, Muzan's plan was to destroy the village anyway, so he sent the two he did, which likely wouldn't change in this storyline either. From what I see, a lot of things could remain the same even if Gyomei were to kill Akaza. Tanjiro would still meet Rengoku and learn some shit from him. Both Hashiras would come to acknowledge Nezuko as a demon slayer. The only thing I could definitively see drastically different is the very last arc, the Infiinity Castle arc. Akaza's death would change it in a lot of different ways.

This is also the same person who speed blitzed akaza and cut off akaza’s hand before he could even react AND made akaza tremble to the CORE. Gyomei would definitely be able to contain akaza. Now will Gyomei die that’s another question fr and idek I wanna say no but I feel like he might have to pull out the demon slayer mark which he can do AT WILL it’s not like the others at all who need to heat up their bodies he can heat his up on command. I think too many people forget that 2 of the upper moons couldve clapped the hashira’s they were fighting if they straight up decided to. 1. Akaza literally lost his will to fight WHILE REGENERATING HIS HEAD. So he just stopped regenerating it and made his own decision to die. And 2. Kokushibo saw his reflection looking like a monster and decided to have a midlife crisis. Once again COULDVE REGENERATED HIS HEAD AND CLAPPED THEIR CHEEKS BUT DECIDED NOT TO. I feel like the story makes it ridiculously clear that none of the hashira are beating the upper 3 moons in a 1v1.

Cool video premise but....there is no rule about "having to be near someone who already has it" to activate your demon slayer mark. Tanjiro activates it in the Entertainment District where no one else had one. Muichiro was alone when he activated his and some hashira just flat out don't get one. Gyomei says himself that he was "Saving this for Muzan". So he clearly figured out through the hashira meetings how to activate it at will.

1. This is completely wrong for 1 aspect, gyomei does NOT have transparent world at this point and did NOT have it until the middle of his fight with kokoshibu where he unlocked it. This changes a lot bc it then means gyomei's battle spirit can be seen and matched by akazad compass needle. Its literally how it works, he immediately matches the strength and speed etc of whoever he is fighting. Which is clearly shown when giyu gets his mark and akaza immediately adapts to it with the compass. There would be 3 possible outcomes to this. 1. Gyomei dies 2. The battle draws out and akaza had to retreat due to the sun 3. Gyomei manages to hold akaza long enough for him to roast in the sun like rengoku tried to do. (That's if gyomei doesn't have to many injuries etc at this point)

Gyomei did fight uppermoon 2 and survived way before the mugen train happened. it was when shinobus sister died. And also this is NOT how compass needle works like at all. He doesnt copy anything all it does is. Allow him to see his opponents weakness, Make him aim for vital point automatically, Also allows him to tell how strong someone is, Also tells where danger is and other stuff, but he doesnt copy anything. Granted is arguable if he is going to beat akaza or not but he is definetly surviving it.

This video is pure facts, only thing I would've changed is that Gyomei could have even destroyed Akaza without the presence of the sun. Let me explain... Firstly, Gyomei is firmly established as the Hashira top dog repeatedly, both by Inosuke's statements and Kokushibou calling him the most powerful warrior in the last 300 years. He doesn't say “human” or “demon slayer”, just warrior outright. That probably includes Akaza as well, he's very much the definition of warrior. Even if he isn't, Gyomei is still the most powerful Hashira at this point, meaning he's even stronger/faster than Sanemi. Sanemi and Giyu are equals before the Infinity Fortress Arc. But Sanemi was actually stronger in the final arc due to his bloodlust increasing his battle power, as stated in the guidebook. (Sanemi was his strongest self, rather than stronger than gyomei) Mark Giyu should be thus below Mark Sanemi, who while inferior to Akaza, could react to his attacks numerous times, contend with him in AP/speed/general and tank extended barrages from him. In the fight with Muzan, Sanemi, Giyu, etc everyone attacks his tentacles but they merely deflect them, they don't actually manage to cut through it while Gyomei just blows tf outta them. That is an insane AP gap there. As long as he can hit Akaza (which he can), he can keep reducing Akaza to a slushy mush. And in stamina, Gyomei is pretty much the best. Rengoku held a lasting fight against Akaza till sunrise, Gyomei could pull it off under the same conditions. Gyomei being able to just blow holes out of Kokushibou further validates this. Plus Akaza got blatantly blitzed by Koku on panel. Gyomei reacted to him even in base and scales close to him with his Mark. Plus Kokushibou was getting faster all the while during the fight. Overall, if you replace Rengoku with Akaza, Gyomei would have beaten him at his peak, but the further the clock reverses, the slimmer his chances get. However, I do Gyomei gets this win as the strongest Hashira.

Transparent World? He hadn't unlocked that yet, he only attained it after he was trying to figure out what Kokushibou was doing. Even if he had Transparent World, he wouldn't be able to catch Akaza off guard, while he may be able to trick Kokushibou, who was observing his bloodflow and muscle contractions, Akaza detects his killing intent and fighting spirit directly and knows exactly what he plans to attack. On the other hand, any weaknesses or openings Gyomei has will still be automatically picked up by Compass Needle. Gyomei could stand a chance, don't get me wrong, but, the scales would still tip towards Akaza's favour even if he had both Transparent World and the Demon Slayer Mark. Akaza was dominating the fight between two Hashira level fighters, and he would've killed both Giyuu and Tanjirou if Tanjirou hadn't managed to somehow attain literal Ultra Instinct and completely hide from Akaza's Compass Needle.

I know this is a what if on your part, but Akaza cannot be soloed, even by Gyomei who is the strongest Hashira in the Taisho period. Neither can the slayers kill Douma or Kokushibo. The best way to do it it is like you said sunlight (which you have to wait for, but that will take a lot of time and Akaza, Douma and Kokushibo can finish the job before that), high doses of Wisteria poison (which would be extremely hard to administer) or the slayers are lucky, they lose their will to fight. Like they're just that broken.

It's a little hard to say. base gyomei is definitely a lot more powerful than base rengoku, even stronger than all the other hashira that opened mark. But akaza was barely serious when he fought rengoku at the mugen train, and akaza will be even more serious when he finds out that the enemy is stronger than he thought (because he has to complete muzan's mission), and if base gyomei is facing an full-strengh akaza, I think he can barely hold out until dawn (full defense), but he won't be able to defeat akaza; If gyomei wants to take advantage of the battle and even defeat akaza, he must unlock mark. But gyomei is over 25 years old, and the price of opening mark is that he will die the next morning, so it's okay to use gyomei against akaza, and I'm sure he'll last until dawn, but opening mark in that place is definitely not a wise move, gyomei is the most important unit to take battle against kokushibo.

The problem is that if Rengoku didn't die, Kotetsu wouldn't have been carrying his sword guard when he got stabbed by one of Gyokko's fish, and therefore wouldn't have been able to get Tokito out of the water prison and he would have died, meaning Tanjiro, Genya and Nezuko would have been fighting both Gyokko and Hantengu and would surely have died

It wouldn't matter if gyomei was there and had awakened the mark. The upper 3 and muzan are league's above them rest of the moon. If it wasn't for plot armor akaza would of regenerated his head and kept fighting a worn out giyu and tanjiro who was both marked. If gyomei didnt have backups for kokushibo he would of lost same with doma and muzan. The upper 3 you literally need multiple hashira's/hashira level fighters to stand a chance and even then kokushibo and akaza would of recovered from being beheaded if it wasn't for plot.

Interesting what ifs. I think however Rengokus death was essentiel for Tanjiros development. Would Tanjiro had survived the entertainment district, and the swordsmen village without the extra push of carrying Rengokus flame? I think not, as all does fights were as close as they could be, and a slightly less powerful or dedicated Tanjiro would had met his end.
