During The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker was found by Qui Gon Jinn which begun his journey from Jedi Knight to Sith Lord in the Star Wars timeline, but what if things had played out differently?
What if Anakin was found earlier on Tatooine by someone who wasn’t a Jedi nor Sith? But instead, a pirate, one by the name of Hondo Ohnaka. What would have been the fate of the Chosen One and the larger Galaxy had this occurred?

Dam what an absolutely amazing instalment of the adventures of papa Hondo and Ani! Excellent job writing both Hondo and Anakin in this story! Really like how Hondo's soft spot for kids played into this story. I can see from Hondo's view that he's only trying to teach Anakin the ropes at the time but was willing to take a gamble that could have backfired easily. I can absolutely see your understanding of the lore in this story. The voice acting during the exchange between Watto and Hondo was legendary, major props to the voice actor. The artwork was spot on with everything from young Ani meeting Hondo, Maul fighting Qui-gon and Obi-wan on Tatooine, and teenage pirate Anakin being top tier and absolute standouts. You've absolutely delivered and sold me on this story and I cannot wait for the next 2 parts!

I think under Hondo’s care and tutelage, Anakin has more freedom than he did as a Jedi. And he wouldn’t feel the pressure of meeting the standards of the Jedi council as well as following the Jedi code. Makes his chances of falling to the dark side a little less likely.

I like this story so far. Here's hoping Anakin is able to free his mother. Either by cheating Watto in a bet or just going all pirate on his former slaver. Hondo never fails to make me smile, even in your what if fanfic. And Qui-Gon surviving his battle with Maul, but no Anakin to train? I'm very curious if Qui-Gon and/or Obi-Wan will take on a new padawan at some point.

Hondo is such an underrated character. There's always one speech I'll remember to the core. Hondo: "But that boy has spirit!! It reminds me of a time when there was something...... to believe in" Some bounty hunter chick: "The Jedi" Hera: "So you'll help?" Hondo: "Hera........ For that boy......... there is nothing!! That I would not do!" Just shows his kind, honourable side. Like when Hondo talks with boba fett in Clone Wars.

Very interesting story, it's very out there and never really thought of before so I really appreciate that. And while I was bored of Anakin not being happy and not rising to his full potential as a pirate, I now appreciate that at the end of this he's getting more to his potential and that makes it exciting for part 2. I also wonder what's going to happen with Dooku now that Qui Gon is alive.

This was such a pleasant watch and a cool idea for a What If. Anything with Hondo is guaranteed to be a joy and I enjoyed how you used his own history as a slave to justify him taking on Anakin as a protege. Also having Qui Gon survive was not something I expected although I think you justified it well with Obi Wan having that added experience against Maul. A solid watch and it makes me all the more excited for part 2

I can imagine Anakin and Hondo robbing a charity event Padme and Bail hold and Anakin flirting with Padme as he was taught by Hondo how to talk to women and they have a witty back and forth like Obiwan and Satine in the Clone Wars.

This is an excellent video for part one, Mr. SWE. I really like the father-and-son relationship between Hondo and Anakin, for Hondo is the father figure Anakin needed his life (besides Qui-Gon Jinn), and Qui-Gon did never die at the hands of Darth Maul able to live and made his promise to train Anakin. Qui-Gon would realize Anakin is better off having an everyday life with someone who cares for his well-being and could accommodate his needs ( emotional needs), and have someone to understand him and sympathize with. I understand Shimi would never want Anakin to live a life as a private since it is dangerous and very vile in its nature related to other things happening in the Mid-Rim. But Anakin is better off being away from the Jedi Order and could be trained under Qui-Gon away from the Jedi Order and, at the same time, spend some occasions with his adoptive father, Hondo Ohnaka. Speaking of Hondo, I never knew Hondo was once enslaved. Is that true from Canon or Legends? I never thought Hondo had a rough childhood and for hearing that. I feel sorry for him, despite him being a pirate. I could understand what made him who he is today, and in the end, he did change for the better. Anyway, this is an outstanding masterpiece. My friend and I really like the idea of having Hondo as Anakin's father figure; it feels fresh, original, and creative. No matter what people say, never lose sight of who you are, for that makes you great, and remember it. Keep working hard for your dreams and goals, and stay positive, my friend. May the force be with you! Here is an exciting idea for a future Star Wars fanfiction story: What if Anakin Skywalker had become King of Tatooine and formed the Kingdom of the Mid-Rim? What will the mid-rim be like under Anakin's reign as king, what would Anakin first act as king, and would Anakin create his royal house? What do you think about House of Skywalker? What do you think of the idea, Mr. Star Wars Else Worlds? Any thoughts, comments, and opinions about this idea?

I imagine the next part involving Anakin getting in over his head in a big scam and eventually being arrested. He'd exect Hondo to rescue him, but he'd never come. Months later, possibly after a prison brawl, Anakin would have a secret meeting with the Chancellor where Anakin would prove his force abilities. Seeing this, Palpatine would offer to free Anakin so long as he worked as his new apprentice. Anakin would obviously accept, but unlike canon where he blindly trusted Palpatine, this Anakin would be alot more jaded and untrustworthy. He'd still obey for the most part, but he'd spare people when he thought he could get away with it. Maybe Part 2 would end with Qui Gon confronting Anakin in a lightsaber duel durng the clone wars, Qui Gon would realize who exactly Anakin is, but by the time he tries to help Anakin, its too late and Anakin cuts him down.

I'd like to see Ashoka as Qui Gon's new padawan in this universe, because there is no Anakin to train, I wonder if Dooku falls to the dark side in this universe, I know that his journey to the dark side was well on his way, but his main catalyst was Qui Gon's death and in this universe this never happens, so in the case that dooku remains as a Jedi who would be Sidious new apprentice, ¿maybe Ventress or a rescued Maul?, ¿Who knows?, But I would like to see pirate Anakin as a mercenary during the Clone Wars, Anakin could use the war to gain more "profits" to the gang so this what if without a doubt its a cool one 🤞🤞🤞

Oh yeah and why didn't Obi-wan showing up on Tatooine to help his master not kill Maul I feel like they would have beaten him there heck sw theory said they would have in a what if about Anakin losing the pod race. I mean I guess either way it wouldn't make too much difference or maybe it would since he wouldn't have put himself together but then again him coming back didn't change that much originally sooooooo. good part 1 but I'd make a few tweaks like that one. Oh I hope Qui-Gon meets with Dooku and brings him back to the light and confronts Palpatine preventing the Clone wars.
