I would love to see not so much David vs. Wanda as David reaching out to Wanda. In an MCU Multiverse, there are Incursions, where two or more timelines merge, which usually destroys all but one, sometimes all of them. Imagine an Incursion between David's timeline (older Xavier & Magneto, X-Men possibly have come and gone) and the Gifted timeline (older Xavier & Magneto are dead or missing, along with most of the X-Men). Simultaneously (to the extent that word means anything across timelines) there is an Incursion between the X-Men Dark Phoenix timeline (younger Xavier & Magneto, living Peter Maximoff) and the MCU (no/unknown Xavier/Magneto, dead Pietro Maximoff. Legion reaches out across timelines searching for an anchor, a hope, a solution. Wanda reaches out across timelines looking for her lost family. Legion's mind touches Wanda's. A solution is arrived at: Where there were four realities, there will be one. The unique will be brought through. The duplicated will be merged, and possibly changed. One world, with mutants and mystics, androids and aliens, weirdness and wonders. A world of Marvels. And in that world, Wanda's brother, father, and half-sister are with her, her husband retrievable with Legion's assistance, her children no longer an impossible dream. In that world, Legion can make peace with his father, and Lorna with hers. A stranger timeline, but a better timeline. It's a nice thought, anyway.
