I had a similar thought a while ago but instead it was Darkseid collecting the actual Infinity Stones in the DC Universe. It was fun putting the stones across the DC Universe. The Power Stone was in the remains of Krypton. In this Universe it was responsible for Kryptons destruction. The Space Stone is on New Genesis replacing the Mother Boxes. Alternatively you could also have it be something Brainiac uses to help bottle worlds. The Reality Stone is located in the Source Wall and requires a sacrifice to the Source Wall. The Soul Stone replaces Raven's Gem. Though alternatively you could also put it on the other end of the Source Wall. The Time Stone is connected to the Speed Force. And the Mind Stone is within the Yellow Lanturn Battery.

I really like the soul stone being Raven's gem that's actually genius. It could have been colored or disguised as red to avoid any suspicion of it's true nature.

I feel like that makes Darkseid an unstoppable force so powerful you can’t write a good story to defeat him. Maybe if you do a “he becomes so powerful he becomes the universe making him inert in will, but that would be so philosophically beyond most people that I doubt it would be written well or understood to be enjoyed.

Before that it was always the giant rainbow living conceptual idea whose Godhead was seemingly shattered by Superman and who’s Emanations were permanently separated when Dr Manhattan created the New 52 and only in Rebirth began to rejoin back to their original whole. If you read Byrnes new gods and Fourth world the new gods Change size when they go through the boomtube Darkseid falling was his corpse after Orion killed him Darkseid and the new gods fell to Earth as ghost Final Crisis clearly states that even Morrison confirmed Darkseid died before Final Crisis.

@@rossjones8426 No he didn’t. The New Gods *EMANATIONS* change size. The normal size of a New God *AVATAR/EMANATION* is the size of a Star. The actual True Forms are the conceptual ideas that they represent and are larger and more powerful than the entire Multiverse itself. The fall was described as his True Form in the Realm of Forms and Abstracta that we cannot see as they have no physical body whatsoever. There is an Emanation and Lower Reflection of Apokalips in every Universe just as every single New God has an Emanation and Lower Reflection in every Universe that are all Echoes of their true conceptual forms that trickle downwards through the Multiverse like ripples in a Pond. The fall was Darkseid’s conceptual being and self as the idea of Evil dragging the entire Multiverse with him in a pit. Which is why he was having to reincarnate in the Physical Form of Dan Turpin. Because his Emanation in that Universe had been destroyed, just like his Emanation in every other Universe due to the Fall of his True Form echoing downwards. This was all very carefully explained and Morrison saying Darkseid’s True Form had died was canon for that story Morrison wrote but was changed immediately afterwards by other writers who retconned it. It was Darkseid’s own Godhead Superman had shattered. His Godhead was his True Form (or as much a physical representation of it as we could possibly see since all of the Multiverse was being collapsed into Darkseid himself and he was basically the only thing left in existence besides Superman himself. Once Flashpoint happened it was made clear that Darkseid’s own Godhead had actually wanted that to happen since his Godhead shattering would transport him to Earth Omega and would fast track his plan to find The Empty Hand. That was only delayed by Dr Manhattan creating the New 52 and separating a primary aspect of Darkseid’s own being from his Godhead and creating a new Emanation that was the Darkseid of the New 52 Multiverse. That was the Darkseid that fought Anti-Monitor and was reincarnated as a Baby by Grail. It was only after Dark Knights Death Metal that Darkseid’s True Form was finally reconstructed for the first time since Final Crisis due to the merging together of his Pre-Flashpoint selves with his New 52/Rebirth self once again. Don’t try to school me on Darkseid boy. I’ve probably forgotten more about him than you’ll ever learn.

I love this idea it's like infinity war/endgame but told from the villains perspective and told on a much grander scale. I could totally see dc doing something like this. Build up another dcu,then have it all lead to a rebooted film universe where Darkseid of the previous universe has come after another Darkseid's universe but this new Darkseid ain't having it,so then an enemy of my enemy becomes my friend situation happens to where the new Darkseid has to work with his version of the justice league to take the omnipotent Darkseid from the old universe down. Like it could just lead to so many possibilities. Say if it happened that way you could even subverting expectations by having the omnipotent Darkseid win a 2nd time and have it end with him gazing upon an infinite set of universes,leading into a crisis on infinite earth's.
