To be fair, Joffrey is a monster, a cruel sociopath, but he can pull himself together, be nice and polite and even charming when he needs to be. Cruel he is mostly in a position of power.

Sansa's still MIA but more likely if Jon's content to being the King of the North, Danaerys will let him. Having another dragon lord who doesn't want the crown is another plus for her. Waiting for Drogon to just chomp down on Joffrey. More likely Dani's going to send an envoy to Westeros to get more details about Jon&his agenda. It's likely she'll be looking for allies.

@@axeldiaz404 Would be funny if Jon sent an envoy first before Cersei arrived. Cersei took her time before talking to Dani. Also Jon not waiting could easily fly to Esos to find Dani and ask for her help against the WhiteWalkers. I think Dani would like a bit of karma for Cersei&Joffrey. What's important is Jon asking Dani for help to get Sansa back.

@@Exaris79 Jon's envoy arriving before cersei would be hilarious. I can almost picture it in my mind; cersei joffrey and Tyrion talking, Dany looking interested asf, then she's like "that's a proposal I would accept, had King Jon's envoy not arrived a day ago." Also I don't think Jon would fly to essos cus I'm very certain his dragon is keeping some lords at bay.

@@axeldiaz404 Other than Dorme, the Tyrell's probably lining Marjorie to be Jon's Queen. I can see Jon flying off just try to get away from Marjorie's grandmother trying to get Marjorie married to him asap. More likely the Tyrell's trying to take over the Lannisters' land and using Marjorie to legitimize their takeover. There's probably a run on who can take over the Lannisters' territories and Jon's likely to favor those who allied with him from the North&Riverlands.

Has anyone ever been the rider of two dragons? Most die before their dragon but Balerion passed before Viserys and he never had another. People put down Viserys but Balerion chose him. The most ferocious creature in the history of dragons accepted him.

Good for Stannis bending the knee realistically there was no other choice even if Jon let him have the throne half of westeros would not accept it. House Baratheon claimed the throne by both blood and conquest not just conquest. Jon Arryn or Ned Stark could have been king but it was Robert who claimed the right based on his Grandmother being a Targaryen. Therefore to take the throne via a blood claim is to recognize Targaryen Legitimacy. Therefore since Jon has also claimed the throne by blood and conquest and a real targaryen's claim is stronger than mere third cousin his claim is stronger and Stannis has literally no argument or justification before the lords of westeros. Also even if by some miracle the Lords tolerated a former claimant to the throne Jon has a Dragon and the power dynamics would be a threat to Stannis's rule. Dragons are hermophraditic and if Valnir lays eggs and jon has kids who's to stop them from demanding the throne from Dragon back. Baratheon rule would survive only as long as Targaryens allow it. Which means Stannis would have to constantly try to kill jon. His best and final option in such a scenario is to transfer the throne back to house Targaryen and marry Shireen to Jon to unite the claims and name Jon his heir. Either way Targaryen's will have the throne even without factoring in Dany existing.

I subscribed because of this story which I have truly enjoyed and I realize this is a What If , but Stannis is a hiccup in this story and I will wait for the next part before I begin to loose faith in this story telling.
