I really like goku’s character in this because with him being an engineer and a martial artist he uses that to create things we would normally see later on in the story earlier. I could honestly see him creating a pseudo Time chamber in the future if he ever fights characters like Guldo and hit who have time manipulation. Overall great what if that I’ve never seen done before keep it up.

Oooh this is an interesting idea. Kakarrot and Raditz having their ages switched is a new and refreshing what-if take. I love how this Kakarrot is a loving protective big brother with a passion for engineering as well as fighting. (And he’s not a clueless idiot) I also like how Raditz is a good person in this story, he’s also like Gohan in DBZ. Born with great potential to be very powerful yet he’s afraid of his own strength because of a sparring incident with Kakarrot. I can’t wait to see more of this.

If i were to write this story, I would have made Bardock's power level 10k still. I would then take Raddits in a different route wherein he'd think that he is superior to everyone, although he is not going to kill anyone. Although he had an interest in training, he would still slack off and not take his training seriously. He basically has a superiority complex earlier on. Then, with this being noticed by master Roshi as well as Kakarot, master Roshi would give a task for Kakarot to train under Korrin in order to become stronger in preparation for the tournament With that, Goku would be able to some what catch up but still be slightly weaker than Raddits. But, due to Goku's skill and experience, he would still be able to defeat Raddits and reinforce the lessons of master Roshi. Teaching Raddits that there is someone stronger than him and that he would also be taught humility. I think this is a good addition since the teachings of master roshi would come into effect.

I think this was a pretty well-planned scenario. I was expecting that the parents wouldn't be able to be revived at all, but you managed to work out pretty good changes that took other known restrictions of Dragon Balls into account. This resurrection needing two separate wishes gave this story a good opportunity for Goku and Bulma get to know each other better and prepare for the second hunt as well as a good reason for the second hunt to happen similar to how it originally happened, but with Raditz taking Goku's place. I also really like how you handled Raditz getting over his pacifist nature, starting from Eighter's wipe and culminating with the fight with Bardock. And I'm also glad that Bardock and Gine didn't just refuse to be brought back. It's nice to see story beats being so straightforward for once, I honestly expected that for whatever reason they'd just remain dead.

It's nice hearing the idea of Grandpa Gohan, Bardock, and Gine all alive together at one point raising Kakarot & Raditz on Earth. 🙂 The idea you added in this series with Raditz having a more pacifist nature interesting development, but I like it. Plus Raditz having friends in Eighter & Suno is pretty cool development for him. 👍 Maybe this leads towards Raditz & Suno become a thing later. 🤔 Kakarot with an engineering background paired with Bulma is a pretty good match here, and another interesting development been Trunks/Gohan is born earlier I bet you Gine was excited for a grandchild. 😆 Anyways another good start to this new series, and will check out the next part.

This is fire but I could have seen goku growing a little more his potential is as high if not a little lower than vegeta, raditz went on missions since he was a kid and could only get to a power level of less than 2k, so if goku were to have a training partner like raditz i see him slowly gaining on raditz only to surpass him in the end because of how smart he is with training to get the most beneficial results.

Considering vegeta was born with 500 power level to start. It's not that their potential is the same. It's more like vegeta wasted an equivalent amount of time training poorly or not at all while goku worked effectively. Once their powers were equal, they did similar training and grew at similar rates. Imagine if vegeta trained like goku did on king kais planet and had kaioken when meeting goku, the power gap would have been even larger.

You've done it again with your surprise upload on a good day. I don't recall seeing a Goku being older bro to Raditz scenario before, so this was a fresh change of pace. I like what you did with Goku, both a combat and a technical genius from his Saiyan Engineer days (I knew Bulma would have a field day and bam, Trunks). Raditz was an interesting arc, a gifted prodigy much like Canon Goku afraid to use his gift in fear of hurting someone (like his big brother) till he learned he can use that power to protect others (a goal that Gohan learned much later on, good on you lad). That Raditz/Suno ship is quite handy (easy reuse of Winter). I'm glad to see the Saiyan Family reunited so soon, with Gine and Bardock being the incentive to get to Frieza (I kinda hope Namek because of the Dragon Balls being gone, but I'll be fine with what you think might be best). I'm very thrilled to see what comes next and for the rest of your stories. Good to see you again, king.

The one year limitation only applied to groups . As explained fully in chapter 321 by Kami. It’s possible to wish back someone who’s died for more than a year. But not a large group of people. This means you couldn’t wish back ALL the saiyans that died on Planet Vegeta as it’s been more than a year. Only individually does it work. That’s why Goku’s friends planned to use a wish to destroy the coming saiyans first then revive Goku later. Most of the time in DB, groups of people died and needed to be wished back within a year. That’s why Freeza was able to be revived in Resurrection F.

Yes you are correct in chapter 212 oolong suggested defeating the Saiyans first then wishing back Goku but in chapter 242 Bulma didn’t care the other z fighters died because they would just wish them back in a year which clearly breaks the rules if you’re wished back once before you can’t be wished back again. In universe it seems nobody knows the limitation of the dragon balls until the time comes. Clearly out of universe Akira realized how powerful he made Shenron who stated he could grant any wish in og dragon ball so he made rules to put more stakes in the story but since he wrote week by week he was still ironing things out. The reason I brought up the 1 year rule is because that’s one of the “Iron clad rules” that the dragon must abide by for some reason. Yes you can retroactively look up oolongs suggestion as you could have always bring back people who’ve been dead for more than a year but Oolong could have also unintentionally perma killed Goku without knowing it. Kami’s statement never mentioned a single person could be brought back after a year which is where the confusion came from I read chapter 321 before making this video just to verify. Honestly dragon ball rules are fickle and I just wanted to preemptivly stop commenters

I have an interesting what-if idea: What if Goku removed Radditz' tail in their final battle on earth? We know that Saiyans lose battle power when their tail is removed, and Radditz was already weak enough that Goku and Piccolo working together could match him. If his tail is removed and he gets weaker, he might be able to be defeated conventionally and kept alive after the battle. Or Piccolo could choose to try and kill him, with Goku trying to keep Radditz alive against Piccolo- who was still his enemy until recently- instead.

I find it kind of funny about the age swapping of Goku and Raditz. Although I have seen a scenario like that before in Naruto, where Hinata and Hanabi's age were swapped. That's surprisingly cause a huge positive shift in the story where Hanabi be replaced as Sakura and change the team dynamic and the story forever & for the better! Speaking of swapping, just imagined the amount of multiple routes of such a simple scenario of Goku marrying Bulma creates & created!

Frieza was brought back with Dende’s dragon balls which are closer to the Namekian Dragon Balls, not Kami’s, Kami’s Dragon Balls could only bring people back who have been dead for a year, Dende’s dragon balls don’t have that restriction

Frieza only being brought back by Dende’s dragon balls I disagree solely because the “upgrades” we see are the dragon going from 1 wish to 3 nothing else was explicitly stated to have changed. When the z fighters try bringing back goku Shenron says he still can’t bring back people who have died before. Also the z fighters didn’t seem to be surprised that Frieza was brought back by the dragon balls not even a passing comment. Plus oolong thought about killing the Saiyans and wishing Goku back later which would have been well over a year. But this is all just my opinion like I said earlier nothing was explicitly said about the upgrades it’s all speculation on either side

uhm aktually the reason why the dragon balls was able to resurrect frieza in the movie is because the dragon ball has been upgraded by dende in the cell(or buu) saga

We only know for sure Dende’s upgrade increased the wishes from 1 to 3 after that nothing is explicitly said that this dragon can do better. Personally from what I’ve outside of that upgrade this dragon has the exact same power as the last this is seen when they try to bring goku back but can’t cause he’s already died before. Though this is just my opinion since like I said nothing was explicitly said either way
