How many Championships would Durant have won had he stayed with the Thunder. Would a championship with OKC have elevated Durant even higher as an all time player? Let me know down below.

Don't forget that Al Horford would have signed with OKC as well if Durant stayed.

Yeah thats true as well. This would have been an epic team and durant would have gotten more respect and satisfaction winning with a stacked okc team.

@@dugrigm4796 Yeah I agree completely. I was a huge Durant fan back in the days, but he lost all of my respect after that move. It was probably the weakest move in NBA history. Anyways, great video! I love the production quality on your latest videos as well (about the Rockets and the Raptors). I hope your channel will blow up soon because you definitely deserve more subs!

This team woulda won a ring eventually in 1-2 yrs they had everything the thunder were missing additional star power and shooting to make up for any weaknesses. KD wouldn’t be the only guy who can shoot consistent,

Honestly....Westbrook, Oladipo, Durant, Sabonis(top 3-5 center now?), and Adams-that’s a big five right there. At least a big 4 if you exclude Adams for not being an all star.
@dugrigm47964 жыл бұрын
I hear you. That could have happened but im not sure Oladipo would have had the room he did in Indiana to explode into the all nba player he became but for sure would have had room to become the all defensive player he became. Sabonis on the other hand eventually could have especially if he played more minutes at center.
@stogram11304 жыл бұрын
DugriGM the question is knowing what we know-who is more valuable? Sabonis and Oladipo or pg13.

Looking at it logical okc was primed to win at least 1 ring, but here's how I see it playing out if kd stays in okc 2017 finals Cavs vs Warriors, OKC, or Rockets Winner: Cavs 2018 Finals Cavs vs OKC or Rockets If Rockets: Cavs If OKC: OKC 2019 Finals: (lebron winning 2 rings in Cleveland I believe he stays and recruits Anthony Davis to cleavland, kyrie stays and kawhi goes to Toronto) Cavs or Raptors vs OKC, Warriors, Rockets or Trailblazers Winner: OKC 2020 finals ( covid finals ) Cavs ( even if kyrie sits out ) vs Rockets, OKC, Nuggets, Clippers or Trailblazers Winner: Cavs 2021 Finals Cavs, 76ers, Celtics or Heat vs OKC, Nuggets, Jazz or Clippers Winner: OKC or Clippers In this scenario I believe lebron has the potential to win 3 rings in Cleveland cementing him as an all time great bring cleavland 3 titles, OKC at least gets 1 ring but I believe they could get 2, The Warriors as seen in the 2022 finals would eventually bounce back but they have competition and I believe they likely sit at 1 ring from 2015 without kd OKC, Houston, and Portland simply give them a much better fight

Idk about 3 more rings but cleveland def gets 2017 I mean they had so much depth

@tredagoat144 жыл бұрын
I don’t think they would’ve won a championship honestly. They would’ve been deeper yes. But, they always needed a third star alongside KD and Russ. Plus, the offense they ran with Scott Brooks and Billy was an iso heavy offense. And the PG thing wouldn’t have happened if KD stayed. Sam only traded for PG and Melo because they didn’t have KD so that’s a what if in itself.
@dugrigm47964 жыл бұрын
But why wouldn't he? If you have the opportunity to assemble a big three why wouldnt presti jump at that especially when he let a big three slip through his fingers earlier when they had harden. Oladipo wasnt the all nba player he was on the pacers with the thunder and sabonis wasnt a sure fire future all star his rookie year. Why wouldnt presti jump at the chance to assemble a team with three top 10 players.
@tredagoat144 жыл бұрын
DugriGM true but remember Sam only pulled off that PG and Melo trade because Russ needed help because KD left. I think they wouldn’t have gone after PG at least around that time PG was aiming for the Lakers the only reason he ended up in OKC was because LA didn’t wanna trade for him. So that big three wasn’t possible. And I also think they couldn’t attract BIG TIME free agents especially how players saw what OKC management did to Harden trying to low ball him on top of Oklahoma not really being an attractive destination other than who’s playing in OKC.
@dugrigm47964 жыл бұрын
@@tredagoat14 I agree they couldnt get a superstar in free agency. The lakers wouldnt have traded for him regardless. KD and Russ could't win together ever so they also needed help. I agree Presti woulnd likely not have gone after melo but i still dont understand why you dont think Presti wouldnt go after Paul George. And yes he pulled off that trade for PG because russ needed help...but he also did that because he had an opportunity that he seized. Why wouldnt he seize that opportunity to land PG if KD was still on the team? The thunder were trying to build a championship team. They know three stars is better than two so why wouldn't Presti still do that?
@tredagoat144 жыл бұрын
DugriGM I’m just in the belief that if KD had stayed he wouldn’t need to go after PG but considering what the Thunder gave up in return for PG if that still happens than why not but the offense they ran in OKC didn’t help much it would’ve just been your turn now my turn with Russ, KD, and PG with no movement. I think Billy is a great coach when he doesn’t have to deal with superstar players that’s why OKC is thriving now under he’s coaching, but I just humbly believe since they had KD Presti doesn’t need to swing a deal for PG I’ve always thought a pass first point guard who can score when needed would’ve worked well next to KD and Russ not another wing.
@dugrigm47964 жыл бұрын
@@tredagoat14 I see your point man. Thing is there was no pass first all star point guard available at that time and anyway Westbrook needs the ball in his hands. I think Presti would have done it anyways because in this league switchable two way forwards are craaazy hard to come by especially if its an all star top 10 player. Also PG doesnt need the ball as much as Durant or westbrook. And even if they did my turn your turn--that got them within a game of the finals against an elite warriors team so imagine they had another weapon they can deploy. That would put them over the top not just on offense but on defense. They would be a historic defensive team dude and they would be considered favorites.
