Can we agree that this is the one true happy ending? The sith die off, Dooku does as he sets out and destroys corruption, and the Jedi return to being peacekeepers. I was thinking about how careful Palps was, and realised that in this case, Palps wouldn't attack the jedi, he would just accept it and then tie his loose ends and go back into hiding, hoping one day the grand sith plan would suceed. Or perhaps try to secretly gain immortality through cloning like he did in Bad Batch. Perhaps even getting new apprentice.

This was a beautiful story, thank you for it! A very fresh take on the event of Anakin's mother's death with the welcomed direction of ending slavery, helping the outer rim and the surprising twist of not getting involved with the Clone war at all. I certainly did not see that one coming. Minor notes, thank you for mentioning Oppo, love that character and he only usually gets mentions as a name among who died with the rare exception of heading up the council if Yoda steps down. The other note is an amusing observation about Stass Allie, in the at least 4 authors whose stories has her among those ending up facing Palpatine, she dies. It is only noticeable because I have these stories on a playlist and usually listen to them like audio books. Which quite a few of yours are on that list. Anyway, another great story, thank you very much for it!

What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories. Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself. What if anakin was a jedi watchmen or wayfinder. What if anakin went with kenobi to face maul and savage instead of adi gallia. What if anakin fell in love with luminara or your own version of aayla secura romance. What if oppo rancis trained anakin. What if anakin met and fell in love with ventress just before the clone wars just after her masters death. What if anakin became a jedi sentinel like a watchmen or one of those who find younglings. What if evan piel became a mentor or second master to anakin. Or anakin became a healer either before or after his mother death could be related to his friendship with offee or alternatively what if he was trained by tra sa who taught windu and actually did not forbid attachment as shown by her relationship with tholme , they could become like a pseudo parents to anakin and train him away from the temple in azati martial arts and from trasa the living force as she is a plant lady so imagine anakin controlling plant life.

Wonderful story. But I think the problem here is that it isn't properly explained why Sidious and Dooku wouldn't just use plan B and conquer the Republic with the Seperatists. Without them pulling the strings on both sides, the Republic would have been crushed quickly, especially considering all the inside knowledge they could have gotten from Sidious. Of course, not plan A as it would have had several disadvantages. But still a fallback option.

Um.....they couldn't contact Obi Wan. He was too far out. That's why Anakin and Padme got his message because he was trying to reach anyone and they were in the area, because they were where they 'weren't' supposed to be. So.....this wouldn't be possible. And even if miraculously they managed to do so, you honestly think Windu could take off from Coruscant and fly all the way to Tatooine before that happened? Plus, they're council....they'd send another Jedi to intercept before doing it, themselves. Look 'what if' scenarios are supposed to be atleast somewhat realistic. It's great, when you have some crazy idea you want to throw out there, but you need to have some semblance of logic somewhere, otherwise the what if is just dumb.

Anakin needed to be able to see the Jedi actually helping people and being given a way to help others. We see this throughout all of episode 1 and come up often in episode 2. The Jedi order, especially during the clone wars, lost their way. Palpatine had spent over a decade to get Anakin to see him as a support in his life.

Can we do one where not only does he stop him but because Yoda actively listens to the force visions he receives he incourges Anakin to have a healthy relationship with padame he listens when Anakin said he having visions of someone dying and explains that doing something desperate can lead to the visions happening. It's only when we gave it head on with a clear mind can we see the truth of what we are shown. For instance he sees obi wan but not himself why is that? Because although the vision is false there's truth of you walk down that dark path this is the result or if you do something to cause massive stress this could be the results. With Mace windo stopping the slaughter of the tuskan tribe. He should even be more open to trying to control his darkness because that's not what his mother would want. That not what padame or the order who when they felt you in trouble raced acrossed yhe galaxy would want. Remember Anakin is very loyal. Even if there some mistrust because of his anger at the time. I believe them simply being there for him and acknowledging his pain openly would go a long way. It would also get Anakin to notice some of the way Palpatine "misspeaks" (sneaky ass) also it believe Anakin destiny to be greater than the mortis gods but they are like a stepping stone. Remember they failed. Why should he listen to what they are saying to do when they want him to do exactly what they did. That's not even smart. And Force made Anakin for more than sitting on some throne to control someone else's kids who he lost control over. And there's more to that story so hopefully we see it. But back to what if. Yeah what if because of all the visions yoda received before and during the wars. He decided to actually listen to them. Open real relationship dialogue with the chosen one so that no outside forces could easily gain his trust and twist all his righteous ideals into twisted power hungry control. Something Anakin hated. Not only encouraging his relationship with the senator but making it a sign of old ways and new ays coming back. Strengthening not only bonds with the Jedi but the people. Because the people see you as baby stealers. Oon

I don't think the Battle of Geonosis would go the same way. I think Mace and Anakin would try to save Obi Wan and Padme would stay on Tatooine. Mace and Anakin as ateam would rescue Obi Wan, the ground battle and the Jedi arena slaughter wouldn't happen Jengo would not be killed. Things would be very different.

Very good story but runs hard against one canon issue: The jedi were *completely* dependent on the senate for sustainability. Their income was essentially a senate stipend. They could not separate from the republic as this story would have them do, at least not without losing the great temple.

What if just after the end of anakin skywalker's testing by the jedi Council. Master Qui-gon jinn begins to reason with the jedi Council by telling the jedi that to train anakin maybe dangerous. But that with a potential sith at large in the galaxy. That it is far more dangerous not to. For if the sith have indeed returned then skywalker would become a living weapon of the darkside that the Sith will wield to destroy the jedi order entirely.
