I know of some brothers and sisters 46-47 still single. Time to reduce ridiculous standards where no one could achieve except a few. They have to realize everybody cannot afford a Ferrari and give 500k mahr. Fortunately I learned of Salafi sisters accepting 2.5-5k for mahr because the objective is to get married, but if you ask for something literally 1 out of 20,000 plus competition with other sisters, you can see many are not going to have anybody if they continue to think like this.

I dont have a thousand years of life left in me. Im not Jesus. There are thousands of men who died unmarried, with no soulmate. Perhaps, in Jannah, insha-Allah.

​@@flyaroundyourfire How about we start making our standards realistic not trying to live like we see in the Arab, Desi, or Turkish soup operas. Let's start there first. Understand cost of living in most 1st world countries ie. US, UK etc all DONT have 6 figure incomes to by big houses and cars. Even doctors who just started their careers recently are still living in apartments ore in their parents house! I work with medical credentialing for a living I can tell you many doctors, nurses, fresh out of medical school live not in houses but apartments, condos, etc. So "greed and prestige" is what is impacted marriage for many people. They are chasing the minority 10% but leaving out the 90%. That's the problem.

This video is not really helpful. I think it is not good to compare ourselves to other people who did not get married. It is very depressive to listen to that part of the video. So basically, nobody cares for your suffering, you need to stick it up, not complain because of others who did the same? ...😢

I agree. It seems to be encouraging the Ummah to stay single. This NOT or deen remember hadith about three men who prayer constently, fasting persistently, and NEVER marry. Did he forget this before making video? Narrated Anas bin Malik: A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) asking how the Prophet (peace be upon him) worshipped (Allah), and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship insufficient and said, “Where are we from the Prophet (peace be upon him) as his past and future sins have been forgiven.” Then one of them said, “I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever.” The other said, “I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast.” The third said, “I will keep away from the women and will not marry forever.” Allah’s Apostle came to them and said, “Are you the same people who said so-and-so? By Allah, I am more submissive to Allah and more afraid of Him than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also marry women. So he who does not follow my tradition in religion, is not from me (not one of my followers).” Sahih Al-Bukhari - Book 62 Hadith 1
