What if MARVEL SUPERHEROES Were DC VILLAINS?! (Stories & Speedpaint)

As voted on by my lovely subscribers, today I am taking superheroes from the Marvel Universe (some from the MCU and some from the comics) and am turning them into DC supervillains!
First up, we have Wolverine, but instead of being a part of the Weapon X program, he gets brought into Task Force X, aka the Suicide Squad, by Amanda Waller to be sent after the likes of Deathstroke and Batman. Next., we get Captain Marvel as a Green Lantern who has a secret past kept from her by the Guardians of the universe. When she puts together the pieces of it, she realizes she has the power of all the Lanterns and goes after Hal Jordan and the Guardians for lying to her. Third, we have Gamora as a Tamaranean who is taken from her home world to fight for Darkseid as one of Granny Goodness' Female Furies who are eventually sent back to take over Tamaran from Starfire and the Teen Titans. Finally, we have Thor who is a reckless god that challenges the Amazons and Wonder Woman before realizing he needs more power to beat them and then seeks out Captain Marvel aka Shazam. Had to work that in of course because Shazam! Fury of the Gods comes out the same day as this!

Love the fact that Thor is based more off of a fusion of Marvel’s and God of War Ragnarok’s Thor, and not just Marvel Thor. Looks way cooler that way.

I absolutely loved the Wolverine one! And I’d honestly love to see a sequel of DC Villains as Marvel Heroes. I feel like Killer Croc on The X-Men would not only write itself, but also give him an opportunity to actually be happy.

I love how Thor's DC villain story is pretty much exactly how pre-humbling Marvel Thor would have acted in that same situation. Also I love the Nordic tatoo's incorporated into Thor's design too, feels way more like mythos Thor than Marvel Thor.

Rainbow lightning was never something that I though I needed, but that Captain Marvel drawing makes me insanely glad that I have it now, it’s easily my favourite drawing from this video. Also I loved the perfectly fitting decision of having Gamorrah be “raised” (heavy quotation marks there) by Darkseid instead of Thanos. This was an awesome video, and I would absolutely love to see a continuation of this! Keep up the stellar work! Today is Day 37 of me requesting Shovel Knight characters as dragons.

The way you can tell basically the same stories in different ways, be it a fusion of characters, characters in a different universe, or what have you, will never stop impressing me. Since we are talking DC villains, I suggest cartoon characters on the Suicide Squad. Like Anne from Amphibia (arrested sometime after her return to Earth at the start of season 3), Star Butterfly from Star vs the Forces of Evil (arrested for her attempt to destroy all magic in the multiverse), El Tigre (his flip-flopping between hero and villain having caught-up to him), or Koala Man (taken in after he took the blame for starting the 2nd Emu War at the end of episode 7).

These work perfectly! Especially love that you made Thor a redhead like in the actual mythology. Alto I em surprised to see you had Captain Marvel connected to Green Lantenrn, rather than Captain Marvel. All in all, this makes me think of suggesting some cartoon characters as superheroes or super villains from the DC and Marvel universes. Dexter from Dexter’s Lab in his "Dexstar" persona or his mecha pilot outfit as a gadgets or mech armor based superhero. Super Cow from Cow and Chicken as an actual cow from Krypton (since there are already actual Kryptonian dogs and monkeys) or some type of cow-like alien Mandy from Grim Adventures as a sorcerer who attempted to capture Death of the Endless, Irwin in his Vampire/Mummy form as part of the Creature Commandos or the Legion of Monsters, and Asgardian Billy (referencing the episode “A Kick in the Asgard”). Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems, with their origins connected to the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of the Universe (due to the similarities between Gems and the Green Lantern Power Rings, and the Homeworld Gems’ obsession with order being similar to that of the Guardians) Jake Long from American Dragon as a heroic shape shifting dragon, seeing how dragons are real both settings. Anne and Sprig from Amphibia as adventurers in the post-apocalyptic future of Kamandi, or Anne as a Blue Lantern, Sasha as a Red Lantern of Star Sapphire (maybe both as part of her character development), and Marcy as a Green Lantern or possessed Parallax. Or have them looking for the Infinity Stones, with the Infinity Gauntlet serving a counterpart to the Calamity Box. Korvo, Yumyulack, or The Pupa from Solar Opposites as members of a family of survivors of their home planet Schlorp being destroyed by Brainiac or Galactus, attempting to terraform Earth into a replica of their home world. In the DC universe they may very well have reverse engineered Brainiac’s technology. Kid Cosmic as a massive superhero fan, who one day discovers a damaged Green Lantern Ring. Reagan Ridley from Inside Job as a member of Vandal Savage’s Illuminati or Hydra. Hilda in her Troll form, seeing how the Norse Gods are real in both worlds. Invader ZIM as an alien soldier left behind by a failed alien invasion. Jenny XJ-9 from My Life as a Teenage Robot as one of the many robot heroes in these worlds. Maybe with connections to Red Tornado, Brainiac, the Metal Men (DC), Ultron, or Vision (Marvel) El Tigre as the latest in a long legacy of feline themed superheroes and super villains, not sure which branch of his family to side with (might have connections to Bronze Tiger, Cheetah, WildCat, or Catman).

This episode was too much fun, PopCross; the irony here is you truly did reverse them. Carol Danvers feels like a villain with a hero's veneer but as a DC villain, she is a tragic one and feels like she was a hero denied the path to being a warrior for justice. And yes, I would LOVE to see more "Marvel Heroes as Villains". I mean, c'mon! Deadpool! Wade WILSON! He and his inspiration Slade WILSON need to be related in some way. Maybe even as a Slade's failed clone; wearing a mirror of Slade's Uniform except the orange parts are red and the blue parts are black. However, I the opposite would be interesting too; DC Villains as Marvel Heroes. Harley Queen is someone who would TOTALLY be a Hell's Kitchen regular, with an on/off relationship with the Mutant Pamela Isley. Heck, DC's Tarantula would fit in darn well as someone of the Spiderverse. And how about Amanda Waller, Director of S.W.O.R.D.? And finally... to be my usual broke record self... I'd like to see you take various anime characters of your choosing and turn them into the cast of the boardgame, "Clue".

LOVED THIS EPISODE! First, Love that new Wolverine suit and look! HE LOOKS SO COOL! He would definitely look like that if he was in The Suicide Squad!😃 Second, it's so cool that you made Captain Marvel an evil Lantern! Third, connecting Gamora to characters like Starfire, Blackfire, and darkseid?! YES! I mean, darkseid is basically the DC version of Thanos, so that's perfect. This was incredible. I've been a fan of your Superhero/Supervillain themed videos since they always have great designs as well as interesting stories to share, and I've always been a fan of both Marvel and DC since I grew up with both of them. So seeing you draw some Marvel Superheroes as DC Villains is incredible...and the first roster did not disappoint. I especially loved Captain Marvel’s and Gamora's designs the most. Wolverine's gives off that dangerous predator look to him that's ready to prove himself while at the same showing others that he's a master of the hunt...plus I love how it still maintains the instantly recognizable and iconic Wolverine look and I think him as villain working for Waller does make sense, Captain Marvel’s gives off an elite warrior look that's willing to fight strong opponents and shows just how deadly she can be...plus I love how she rocks the classic Lantern look as well as looking great with all of those galactic powers, Gamora's design gives off that feel of a well armed assassin/rogue that's willing to show everyone what type of power she wields while showing her own unique prowess...plus this design really shows both the Iconic Gamora look and unstoppable force that show just how she's considered the deadliest women in the galaxy, Thor's design gives off that feel of a powerful godly warrior that while looking like a strong adversary can be a mighty force of nature to be reckoned with...plus I don't know why, but for some reason this design for Thor just seems to work; and I love that he almost takes the place of Aries as one of Wonder Woman's foes. This was an amazing video with an amazing topic...and I like it. I'd love to see you turn some more Marvel heroes into DC villains since I think there is still so much more to tell (or maybe do the reverse and draw DC heroes and villains as Marvel heroes and villains). I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing some of the more monstrous Marvel and DC characters as either kaijus, SCPs, different versions Superheroes or as mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these powerful beings and perhaps even work on a joint project and make a fantasy-mech armour hybrid. For other ideas for more Marvel heroes turned into DC villains if you do a part two to this; id love to see you use Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Ghost Rider, Iron Fist, Shang-Chi, Rocket, Blade, Shadowcat, Rogue or even the likes of Black Panther, Storm and Iron Man since they would look awesome as DC villains. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Monday’s video. P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. This video was absolutely mind-blowing and amazing, Christian. You really did an excellent job with the designs of the characters and poses were really awesome. I also enjoyed the color schemes that you used in this video. I have to admit that my favorite character design that you had in this video was Carol Danvers drawing. As for the lore of this video. I have to admit that it was really entertaining and delightful to hear. I really enjoyed how you incorporated the background information on the Marvel characters, but twisted their story to more villainous ways. I have to admit that my two favorite villain background stories were Gamora's and Thor's, especially since you had Gamora as a fury and Titans' villainess and Thor one was great on it's own. Anyways thank you so much for this very interesting and cool video. Totally dug it. Also thank you for being so positive and giving positive thoughts and vibes at the end of each of your videos. This was terrific! Absolutely brilliant! The only one I'm iffy about is Thor's story. It's great, but there is already a Thor in DC. It probably would've been better to do another character, like Iron Man or maybe Ghost Rider! I'd love to see a part 2.

Yeah hahaa, problem was I wanted to do Spiderman as a Batman villain and that already existed too. I knew Thor was in DC already, but figured he was so underused that I could just pretend he didnt exist. Used him as a reference for the design though, but mostly used the God of War design of him as reference though

I had an idea I saw in a dream of mine. Skylanders as armor sets because I have a few that I feel would work really well, such as blackout, hood sickle or snapshot. Great video idea btw!

I absolutely loved this episode! The colors and grittiness of the characters are spectacular! I really like Thor and Captain Marvel(while I don't know much about the Guardians from the comics, I feel that they would do something like that to a lantern) If I may, I would really like to see either DC villains as heroes in the Marvel universe or the Justice League as villains in the universe as well

Would be fun seeing Loki being a superhero in dc. Like him being somewhat a protector and teacher to the Shazam family. Helping them learn magic while also teaching them to be responsible with it. Something Loki would do would be changing his appearance to look like a kid while hanging out with the Shazam family but when a fight occurs become an adult again.

How about combining DC's Super Friends tv characters (Zan, Jayna, Rima, Samurai, etc.) with Marvel's unique tv heroes (Herbie, Firestar, Video Man, Arachnoid, etc.) for a unique project? I think you've done Spidey, bats Wolverine, etc. to death. How about some that have never been tried?

All the characters here could easily be original characters in the DCU if you changed the names around to avoid getting sued. I also liked Thor, since while he does exist in the DCU, he doesn’t have a consistent characterization, and this story could be just what he needs. Would love to see all the ideas you posited at the end happen sometime in the future!

Definitely more Marvel heroes as DC villains! I've thought of The Hulk working with Lex Luthor, being powered by kryptonite and fighting Superman, but the one I have really thought about is Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Peter Parker grew up in the streets of Gotham. His parents died early on in drive by (they were bystanders, not criminals), leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben, who was actually a notorious gangster. This eventually led to him becoming a gangster as well, mostly stealing, as the death of his parents made him distrustful of guns. He became a criminal in part due to being raised by his uncle Ben but also to take care of her aunt May, who was sick, poor and unaware of her husband and nephew's criminal deeds. One night, Uncle Ben drove him and Peter to Central City to steal a really powerful invention from S.T.A.R. Labs. Ben and Peter were caught by the security guards and Ben immediately opened fire. Ben was shot, and in his dying moments, he told Peter that his aunt was his responsibility now. Before he was caught by the guards, Peter felt a huge sting in his hand: a spider, genetically modified, had escaped during the shoot-out and bit him. He started to change: he became stronger, more agile, his senses enhanced, four spider legs grew out of his back and he could now shoot organic webs from his wrists. With this new powers, he became Spider-Man, his goal being to get money for his aunt May. Still refusing to kill, he eventually joined the Rogues, a group of of villains with ideals akin to his own and with a strict rule of no killing. Many of his robberies were of course thwarted by The Flash. P.D.: I really liked your interpretation of Thor! Also English is not my first language so apologies for my writing.

I'd love a part 2 of this! For ideas: Daredevil as a twisted judge who trained with the league of shadows and became a Green Arrow villain Ant-Man (Pym) as the disgruntled original inventor of the tech that makes the Atom shrink Vision as the previous villain's creation augmented by TO Morrow Spider-Man as a young orphan illegally given spider powers with a bit of BB's DNA in a Lex-Corp experiment. Afterwards, he became a prolific thief and saboteur who deals with the Bat-family. Eventually, he goes good and becomes an ally.
