I don’t understand why people miss this every time when watching H1 the supernatural element was always there. That’s why they called him “The Shape” he’s just a shell of a human being and has very little humanity left. He wasn’t your average psychopath as Rob Zombie tried to depict him in his interpretation of Halloween. He took a lot of damage in the first film that a mortal man wouldn’t survive in psychopath’s don’t have any special powers because there psychotic you shoot them in the heart there done you shoot him the head he’s done. I think people’s perception of realistic is a little skewed like when someone tells me Rob Zombies Halloween is more realistic no it’s not at all not even in the slightest. If it was that first shot he took by that police officer with the 9mm in the shoulder would have weakened him just by blood loss he wouldn’t have shook it off because he would be bleeding profusely. That’s why you don’t completely humanize Michael Myers because you have a more divisive plot.

Fun fact, Michael Myers was never meant to be in another movie after Halloween II, hence why Halloween III is so different to the rest, the Halloween series was meant to be a number of different movies with different plot devices and so on, and if one did well it would get a spin off series of it's own (think Friday the 13th, that would probably be the series structure) but the directors were ordered to do the second one with Myers in it, and the character was so popular that even though they didn't really want to, the whole series became all about him

I really didn't care for Zombie's remake. I didn't like how he tried to portray Michael as a sympathetic character. Why can't evil be evil simply because it is evil? Michael has _always_ been supernatural; it's just that the exact mechanism behind it was left ambiguous in the original films. When he returned to the franchise in 2016 John Carpenter said, _"Michael Myers is not a character, he is a force of nature. He is not a person. He's part supernatural, part human. He's like the wind, an evil wind."_ If the sequels had just stuck with that (I'm looking at _you_ Part 6), we wouldn't have had to reboot the series twice.

Zenrikku77 True but I would more interested in the question of how would people react if he existed in our reality as undeniable proof of supernatural evil. By you know not being stopped by a bullet to the head. That shit would be crazy, if a serial killer appeared and you couldnt shoot or stab him because the evil just sustains and heals him and he gets back up. It would break society to know a force that like that existed in the world.

If he were real he would be the alternate version of me.. I've already had enough psychological issues as it is except I've learned to manage them.
