I might be giving Walt the benefit of the doubt here, but I think he would swallow his pride and take Elliot’s money if it was his son’s life on the line. But if he didn’t take the money or it wasn’t an option, that would be a very interesting what if.

@@travisreberto1295 I do agree that he would look much more closely at Elliot's offer, but I don't think it would be his first instinct. In the show Elliot only makes the offer near the end of Season 1, Walt and Skyler could still get into a lot of damage before that time, sort of forcing their hand to stay in the drug trade. And even with his son's life hanging in the air, I still think Walt would look for any other option before turning to Elliot. He'd be more likely to give in, but it would be his last resort.

For real. It's almost like running a D&D campaign. You have all these NPCs running around and doing things on this vast timeline and have to figure out how things happen. There are some major events that might always or often happen. Some depend on the characters (if you kill someone in that family, revenge will be served). Some things depend on exterior events (a huge storm for example).

Here's an idea that I've always thought of when I first saw breaking bad: what if Walt offered to teach a meth cook (gale) when Gus first offerd the 3 million$ for 3 months of his time mid season 3. If Walt was actually smart and tried to still stear clear of the underworld as much as possible in addition to make the money, it would be an interesting scenario. Would gus let walt walk rather than kill him? Would walt still be found out? Mind you, you can make the argument that walt wouldn't do this due to his whole pride thing, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Personally I think Jimmy would of quit being a lawyer on the spot to preserve his marriage and vow to never break bad again, waiting a few months down the line to then bring up everything that happened and how it happened. Which would leave Kim to leaving them for a few years but only to eventually reconnect with each other, leaving Albuquerque forever. I don't think he would give up on his scams per se, just that he would help Kim out with his own expertise in his "unique" ways when called upon.

They originally wanted Walt dead because Walt took over their territory and they needed to stay on top. That was before they found out Walt was working for Gus. After they found that out they still wanted him dead because Gus was hiding the fact he had Walt, it's hurting their status and (according to some) Salamancas all dislike Walt - it's like it's in their blood. Gus wanted Walt dead when the Salamancas found out because he didn't want to get himself killed just because of Walt, also he had Gale and Jesse anyways.

This is the absolute closet to a perfect ending for everyone. But not quite. I don’t like that the Salamanca’s and the cartel win and that Jesses friends die. And Kim leaves Saul…. Let’s pretend your a time traveler. That your the flash in that crappy CGI time bubble and you want to make that perfect ending. I’d like to see you attempt to create everyone’s happy ending with the least amount of choice/timeline changes as possible. Can it be done? 1.) Walt wins, makes all his money and leaves it to his family without them ever finding out what he did 2.) I know that’ll take some serious gymnastics. But like in a game of Jenga, what’s the least amount of things you can change to make all that happen? I’m already impressed by you, but now, blow me away! 8.)
