When I started Naruto back in 2013 and caught up to Shippuden, I honestly couldn’t help but wonder how people were able to ship Naruto with Hinata, like I get she’s cute and the Chunin exams did them so much justice, but after that, there was nothing else worthy of notice that peaked my interest to the point that her role in fighting Pain and talking to Naruto during the Ninja War just felt forced. If it weren’t for a certain number of fillers or that she majority of the time says “Naruto-kun,” I would’ve immediately forgot that Hinata as a whole existed. The sad thing is that even before Naruto rejected Sakura, there was so much development between the two in terms of chemistry and potentially even character, hell, Sakura marrying Naruto would’ve been the best thing for her character as it would’ve shown her moving on from a childhood obsession that really has no role in her future in a strong position as a doctor!

Like by Shippuden I thought Naruto was already over Sakura, and Sakura was starting to love Naruto but some how still obsessed with Sasuke. @@francisheritage8418 Not really, SasuSaku is built on nothing. It was so badly botched Kishimoto needed a timeskip to force it to happen. Sasuke spends the entirety of the manga ignoring Sakura and mocking her for caring about him and having feelings for him. Her feelings for Sasuke never develop beyond a crush and become a dehabilitating mental illness. He is not a good person, he has consistently shown himself to be selfish and obsessed with his goals. Sakura's fixation on Sasuske only ever brought her pain and rejection. It gets so bad that she can barely function when in his presence. Kishimoto COULD have written them becoming closer and forming a relationship, but he went out of his way NOT to do that. Sakura literally has no good reason to love Sasuke beyond finding him superficially attractive. They barely interacted when they were on Team 7, and he spends all his time after either avoiding Sakura or trying to kill her.

I remember shipping Naruhina as a teen because I felt like it was cleverly indicated. What kind of threw it off was Naruto's indifference to her and even judgement of her. They had no chemistry or relationship and then it suddenly became forced. Hinata in my opinion is a poor character because her entire existence is to be Naruto's wife. They try and make it look like they have some kind of partnership or like their stronger when in combination with each other but im sorry to say, Sakura is stronger than Hinata. I suppose the same happend to Sakura but what was her evolution? A princess ninja to a house wife making lunchs for her kids and over worked husband. It's kinda like what they did with Harry Potter, I don't want to think about my heros getting older, boring and working a desk job. Sakura was one of my favorite characters and their time together and chemistry deserved a bit more. I loved Shippuden Sakura until they completely rewrote her out of the story and then suddenly remembered oh yeah there was a female protagonist!

Then there's Krillin and Android 18 that was actually better handled than any pairing in the series. Still, the only big time shonen manga author that's good at writing love stories is Togashi. Him and Oda (Araki doesn't count anymore since he switched to the Seinen manga genre)

As a Sasusaku fan I got to say...Narusaku makes a lot more sense. First off, Naruto never thought of Hinata anything more than a friend. Secondly no matter how much you all disagree Sakura really did care and loved Naruto deeply. Her feelings for sasuke were only a crush and the thought of "what could have been". The bond and experiences of Narusaku do not compared to their current partners... Thirdly Naruto was supposed to achieve all of his goals. Since he was a child he wanted to become hokage which he did, and he fell in love with sakura ever since he met her and wanted to be with her which he did not. It is also my impression that he is not in love with Hinata at all...I believe he is only apprieciative of hinatas parenting and wifely abilities, and that he had to move on and marry someone else since he did not get sakura....

You know if they made Naruto acknowledge Hinata more I would be a lot less conflicted about the love triangle. For example: at the war arc when she snapped Naruto out of despair when Neji sacrificed himself to save Naruto. I do think Hinata deserved to be with Naruto, but the entire series made me believe that Sakura would slowly move from the emo bastard that didn't care about her known as Sasuke, to the stupid and optimistic man that was always by her side and caring and protecting her, which would be Naruto of course. I feel so vindicated that even Kishimoto's wife saw that NaruSaku was a better ending! Forcing Hinata into the romance midway through the series also disrupts the dynamic of trios established in the series. Jiraya/Tsunade/Orochimaru, Obito/Rin/kakashi, the theme of the series is the trouble between a trio team. But Hinata is wrenched in(away from her own team), just to make everyone be married off. Sasuke not getting married after everything he did would have been a reasonable ending for him, and the Uchiha clan ends.

Naruto thought HInata was weird bcus she always was standing there and not saying anything. Her character was a shy one who was often misunderstood bcus she wasn't as outspoken. The one thing that annoys me is the writers constant misconception of personalities throughout all of Naruto. Hinata loved Naruto from afar and supported him, unbeknownst to him. Sakura did nothing but stand there and watch from the background several times and ran into situations based on her thoughts of Sasuke only. She was abusive to Naruto for years and used him for comfort on her own selfish terms and for her own selfish reasons. Sakura was never a good person to him. I believe she did care for Naruto to an extent but she showed it poorly. Hinata, from start to finish has always tried to gain Naruto's respect and befriend him but she didn't know how and for that to be mistaken as being "weird" is just ignorant simply bcus that person doesn't understand them. Hinata was the one to jump into the Pain fight to protect Naruto. It was the first time she stood up for someone in that way which was momentous. I would never want to see someone being abused still fight for someone for the sake of "he's cool". Fight for someone who truly cares for you and not for no illogical reason that Sakura had towards Sasuke. Hinata and Naruto deserved each other. Sakura could've died in that Ninja War for all I care and Neiji could've lived. The only thing I agree with is that Sakura and Sasuke should have never been a thing bcus as much as I don't like her, no one should be with a person who mentally, physically and verbally abused them. Naruto would have had a more stable home, his children would have been better understood and understanding of Naruto's demanding job because Sakura would never have been that passive and would have made her children more involved and accustomed to the idea of working parents, Naruto would want to come back home to them and would never have spent hours on end at the Hokage tower dreading to go back home. Meanwhile Sakura would never have had to have been a single parent, struggling to make ends meet and pay off debts, she wouldn't have to be emotionally alone in raising and worrying about her children. Naruto would have made sure of that. He would have been a strong support for her and her insecurities, and she to him. This video is so well done

I feel if Sakura and Naruto were to get married, sakura would end up as a much more delicate character towards Naruto. She would've had so much more character development. Even until now that she's married to Sasuke she's still quite diehard, even Karin had a good character development with her addiction towards sasuke. I've saw a lot of people saying that boruto wouldn't treat Naruto the way he does because sakura would keep him in place and a lot of others saying that she wouldn't because sarada throws tons of shade towards her and sasuke and sakura doesn't even do anything about. Tbh, I think Ino stopped being interested, but it was one of the things in her “rivalry” with Sakura so she just entertained it for a bit. As for Sakura, I wouldn’t call it an infatuation since she was one of the first and only ppl to realize he was being manipulated and was gonna leave the village, as well as the first person to put together what he said abt killing Itachi + the whole chuunin arc where she saw him going through all the pain that he did. Plus, she hadn’t seen or had any news about him for 3 years and had no idea of how big the change really was or the things he’d done.

Damn, I didnt have a problem with Hinata and Naruto until now. Sakura and Naruto makes way more sense after this. Also Sakura and Sasuke never made any sense. He doesnt love her, he never did. Its just fanservice. They dont even kiss or anything, how the hell did they make a baby? I dont wanna know. Another thing, Hinata struggles to talk to Naruto and Sakura struggles to talk to Sasuke all of the anime. I dont see how either of them could have functional communication im a relationship.

Kishimoto is incompetent with romance like most shonen mangakas as I've noticed like Isayama the author of Attack on Titan, Oda of One Piece, Toriyama of Dragon Ball. Kishimoto should have taken notes from Clannad which is the best romance anime/game in my opinion if he wanted good romance in his story.

TheMegaUzumaki what are you talking about, Naruto only started liking Hinata after the war arc, and they weren’t really that close before so the ship in itself is forced. Where as she is an annoying character NaruSaku makes more sense than NaruHina

@TheMegaUzumaki both have grown tremendously and have moments of caring for each other more than just friends. the only female who has been close to Naruto and it's not even close. it's just like in NISEKOI, Raku and Chitoge are there true selves and most comfortable with each other and that's why it made sense to have them pair up in the end.

SAKURA AS genin jumped in and risked her life for Naruto who would have ended up beheaded by zabuza's sword . -Had she not protect naruto and sasuke in the forest of death, they would have died by those 3 sound ninjas. Lee went in and got fcked and then team 10 went in after seeing sakura getting beat up knowing she wouldn’t win but she didn’t give up.. - she took care of Naruto and sasuke for 3 days without sleeping. - she protected tazuna without geeting scared even for her first time when Naruto froze . -she was ready to give up on her written exam.to not ruin Naruto 's dream so basically sakura was one of the first genin who supported Naruto 's dream . -Sakura protected sasuke from Gaara 's attack, Naruto fought gaara using sakura as inspiration to defeat him . -Sakura was the only genin who released the genjutsu of kabuto Then she woke up Naruto -Sakura gave the advice Naruto needed for his training then sasuke asked him too about sakura 's answer. - saved Naruto from falling by a simple kunai -she was the only one to reach sasuke's heart and stop his curse mark transformation read his 2nd data book... sakura did all of that despite being weak in the first serie .
