The simple reason is that they want ppl to grab their focus on Boruto and Kawaki as well. Animation work on Kawaki was so eye-catching you know. Its simply the writer's and studio's intention to do it so why to create or believe in random theories. It's better to see from maker's pov.

The first time we see all of them is in that version, doing it backwards so that they look different from boys when they are so stylish it doesn't make sense anymore . Furthermore, Kakashi, Minato and Tobirama were considered attractive in their time, it makes sense that Minato retains those traits that make him look "fresh" and that Naruto lacks, because Naruto he never considered himself handsome in that sense. The heart stealer was Sasuke, Naruto was the annoying sassy brat.

Cannot fathom the amount of time you dedicated to making this but it’s obviously shown in your work. Such an excellent job and a great way to end the year with a bang. I don't particularly have a problem with NaruHina. What bothers Kishimoto's original work with respect to couples is that he has this idea that love for someone needs to be eternal, so Naruto in his entire life could never have liked Sakura at some point. Which doesn't make sense in relationships in real life. It's okay for you to like someone at a certain point in your life, and after a long time, you approach and fall in love with another. But no, for Kishimoto, for Naruto to be with Hinata, he needs to do a huge retcon, which for me was not necessary.

@moriel6890 sabban It doesn’t matter what Kishimoto was intending, what does matter is the execution and it’s still poorly handled. Kishimoto is not above criticism even from his fans. Not all creators are. NaruHina could have work if they give them enough screen time to develop more of their relationship instead of layout hints whether or not they’ll get together or worse, butchering Naruto’s character and established storyline for sake of the ship. This is why I’m getting sick of The Will They Won’t They shipping trope where it keeps on teasing fans until the last-minute mark. If all you care about is your ship is canon rather than HOW it was written, then you’re not fit to be a writer. If he wants to go for NaruHina, that’s fine but he got to make the execution work to make them believable. Use the screen time wisely and you’ll get well-written shipping. But the reason why NaruHina doesn’t work is he doesn’t bother to do much with that ship. The best example I can think of how to do a romantic sub plot right is Lumity (Luz x Amity) from The Owl House. The reason why Lumity works is because we see more of their chemistry, we see how their relationship works out, and just to let you know that those are the time when they’re actually DATING after Luz asked Amity out at the middle of the series.

@user-ju8bm1wy8b Complementing what firemaster said: The truth is that Kishimoto took advantage of it for a long time by giving tips on relationships between 4 characters (Naruto, Hinata, Sakura and Sasuke) to cause discussions among the fanbase and retain the public. The biggest proof, in my opinion, that shows this, is that for him, after the fight against Pain, he was most likely determined to do NaruHina. However, instead of giving more screen time and showing their relationship developing more during the war (which happens during some scenes), he inserts NaruSaku "tips" and "clues" so as not to kill this fanbase that moved a part of its readers before the end of the work, such as when Kushina tells Naruto to marry someone like her, and when Naruto introduces Sakura to Minato, he introduces her as his girlfriend (and soon after Minato still thinks how Sakura resembles Kushina). Do you understand my point? All to move a fanbase. If he was determined to make NaruHina official, why tease NaruSaku fans like that?

You have no idea how long I've waited for a project like this. The way Naruto ended has always urked me. Thank you for correcting Kishimoto's easily fixable mistake. I've always wanted this moment where the constant tension these two had with each other could finally be put at ease. Having Sakura settle with a toxic psychopath in Sasuke wasn't the correct path to go and I firmly stand by that statement. She needs to be better to herself than that. All the love continously wasted on him only brought more pain. Naruto being with Hinata is ok, but ultimately unrealistic. They never spent much time together and by the time the series was over, it was way too late to fix that issue. No movie can ever fix that. The Naruto and Sakura friendship/relationship is the one given the most focus, most screentime, most interest, and most development. The fact that Kishimoto never capitalized on that proves to me he was just not ready to end this series. It proves to me that he was the worse of the big 3. It proves to me that he needed a break, but was pushed too hard and running on fumes. Writers fatigue setting in as all sense with the franchise slowly faded away. I despise the Last. I always have. But I don't think it's the source of all the problems that exist within the brand that extends to Boruto today. But it sure as hell is a symptom!

Because so the show could be successful. NH and SS had alot more popularity and they could've got alot of money. Therefore, they went with NH and SS. Frankly, i'm ashamed that Kishi didn't step in. He focused on the NS development for 8 years and just ignored how well written and developed it was and went with what gave more money. I can understand that NH fans like NaruHina because its cute an it lookd a decent ship but they really need to take it aside and think if it has good writing and if it makes sense. And don't say something hilarious like it was the last thing Naruto had to do before becoming Hokage, because it's too full of NaruHina moments to be anything like that, also let me break down those only two moments that Naruto and Hinata had together throughout the original and Shippuden one per each of course, Naruto said he like people like Hinata, he meant people who don't give up and don't back down, that also refers to Sakura, and during Hinata's confession to Naruto during the Pain Arc, people may praise her but I do not because even I know she did that out of selfishness, because she almost not only got herself killed but Naruto and the entire Leaf village, again if it wasn't for Minato that would have DEFINITELY happen, not to mention that confession took 2 years to reciprocate, though it feels longer being Naruto already looks like his Boruto self, because it makes no sense for someone to lose their hair that fast at the age of 19, but I digress, it just made Hinata look more pathetic I'm sorry to even say, because let's be serious what a girl even wait that long for their feelings to be reciprocated? I really don't think so, love maybe patient but not that patient, I hate how they had Hinata use Naruto as a crutch to escape her family problems, if she just got over him I know she would have been a great and strong leader of the Hyuga clan, with her being on par with Itachi and Shisui, that's a future I saw in her even after her defeat by Neji's hands, Naruto only had three possible outcomes because of his never give up never back down attitude besides becoming Hokage of course, either ending up with Sakura (NaruSaku), end up with Sasuke (NaruSasu) or stay single and train the next generation of genin, though I would have loved for him to do that either way, him ending up with Hinata the way he did goes against everything that made Naruto who he is, and as for Sakura, I hate to blame my boy but it was definitely Naruto's fault that he fan the flames of Sakura's crush on Sasuke, I don't know if Sakura will ever realize that it was Naruto pretending to be Sasuke she fell in love with, instead of it being the real Sasuke, because that was the whole point of her character development, from being a school girl crushing on Mr. popular to being a strong Kunoichi who finally ends up with the right man AKA Naruto, also let me tell you one more thing, NaruHina was just used for a plot device to continue the story of the Otsutsuki, nothing more to continue the story to Boruto and ignoring the prophecy of Jiraiya, making it look like that Naruto would be the student that brings ruin to the world, (so if I would Hazard a guess, I think Minato was the child of prophecy and the decision was to tell him the prophecy the old Kronos story, trying to prevent something you know is going to happen will make sure it happens) because if Naruto did end up with Sakura then there would be no need to continue the story and no need for Boruto.

I wouldn't be into the pairing if it didn't seem like Sakura liked him too. Remember the scene were Sakura hugged Sasuke after an encounter with Itachi? Naruto made a gloomy face after seeing it. Because that's when he believed that Sakura truly loved Sasuke Which of course due to the studio perriot writing seemed like a second take. But remember after Sakura healed Hinata after protecting him from Pain? Sakura made that SAME gloomy face that Naruto did when he believed that Sakura liked Sasuke That doesn't tell you a bunch? This must be the moment we're Sakura realises, that she likes him too. Its not an obvious parallel Even I couldn't notice that but those two stares told us everything. And that's all the proof I need that Naruto and Sakura are not platonic. This doujin doesn't disregard anything.
