Do people not want the mom to be relevant to the story? Why have her die in childbirth instead? The way she actually does, it only lessens her importance. And it does nothing to enhance the story. I think it actually makes the story worse. It shows the misogynist attitude of the author the mom's not that important. She didn't die saving Naruto. She died in childbirth like it's normal.
