The thing is, would Piccolo really be evil enough by that point? While he's not Piccolo Jr, maybe seeing Goku gaining a family, and maybe even when Piccolo sees other Namekians, he might chill out by the Buu arc. It could happen like it did to Vegeta, given King Piccolo is much older and less impressionable than ours, but he could also just chill out to be normal again.

I feel like this is at least a really cool re-interpretation of the series. I think it'll be really cool! I woulda loved to see something like Oozaru Goku-Piccolo, or something like that, but I understand why you didn't. I wonder if you maybe did something LIKE the Garlic Jr. Saga, if the blackwater mist could bring Piccolo to the fore. Or maybe Ginyu's Body-change only takes Goku's mind, leaving Piccolo behind, to take over the body once Ginyu is in there... That could be kinda cool too!

What if Recoome killed Gohan? (What if Goku arrived on namek Late?) Goku's ship begins to slow down some on his way to namek, due to the intense training he is doing putting a lot of pressure on the ship. This causes Goku to be roughly 10 minutes late to namek. The Recoome fight goes normal, up until the end. Recoome kicks Gohan at his neck, breaking it, causing Gohan to collapse, unconsious Krillin watches on in horror as he senses Gohan's Ki vanishing fast, until he can't sense him anymore. Recoome then launches a blast at Vegeta, seemingly killing him, not sensing Vegeta still there, buried under the dust. Recoome and the Ginyu Force then leave, heading back to Ginyu and Frieza with the dragon balls. A bit after, Goku arrives, rushing over to Krillin as he is the only one Goku can still sense besides Vegeta. Krillin eats the senzu bean and mutters one word, "Sorry", before looking over to where Gohan was. Goku slowly walks over, tears in his eyes, and picks Gohan up. Slowly the ground begins to shake while a yellow glow begins to creep up his legs. He'd then let out a roar of pain, transforming into a super saiyan, and giving Gohan a proper burial. Goku then throws the senzu beans to Krillin, telling him to heal Vegeta, get the dragon radar, and get to Bulma. Before Krillin says anything, Goku rushes off to the nearest group of high power levels, catching up to Recoome and Co easily. Only thing on his mind is defeating Frieza's army for taking his son away from him. Meanwhile, Grand Elder Guru has sensed all of this. The two he trusted with the potential unleash have failed, Frieza has the Dragon Balls, and a new person who is fuled by rage has arrived. All of this accelerates Guru's death, leading to no dragon balls on namek, with no hope for the humans and Piccolo to be revived for now. (Only namekians alive at this point should be Nail and Dende, unless i forgot some.)
