Nappa cared about Raditz to some extent, that's why the first thing Nappa could think of using the dragonballs for was to wish Raditz back, it was Vegeta on the other hand that had no sense of genuine camaraderie and viewed other saiyans (non royals) as his disposable minions most likely from being taught this by his father the king.

Gero was spying on them only during their battles on Earth, so no Saiyans/Frieza, but still plenty of Z Fighters/Piccolo. And Goku and Piccolo are still the strongest fighters on Earth. And a much weaker version of Piccolo was going to wipe out humanity. Androids stronger than Goku and Piccolo both are very much going to do what they Trunks timeline androids did and wipe out all of humanity.

Wait, the balls were used recently? If I remember right, Goku had the 4 star ball at the time as a memento of Grandpa Gohan. Also I think its not realistic that Piccolo could charge the Special Beam Cannon while keeping his energy masked. Charging it is the definition of gathering his energy. And Raditz was able to use his scouters to see a rise in both Goku and Piccolo's power level as they charged their special attacks.

I honestly thought that starting with Raditz instead of vegeta and nappa would’ve been a bit more boring and we’d focus more on frieza and the like as a straight shot to all the baddies taking each other down till beerus wakes up but this is way more interesting than anything I imagined. I cannot wait for more. Piccolo is gonna be quite bruised very soon but I am far more intrigued by what happens with gohan now that he’s been turned. I’m curious to see who or how anyone can change him back to who he was. Maybe somewhere down the line a certain strong headed pig tailed girl with an attitude can knock him down a peg or two ;). The biggest problem with this is that piccolo wouldn't have used special beam cannon that soon. It's implied that he was waiting until he perfected it to take on Goku, probably meaning he'd get it where the charge time was ya know, not 5 five minutes. I think if Raditz never happened, that they'd fight a few years after that, when he could just fire off special beam cannon instantly, which would probably put them at raditz-ish level since they were both continuing to train.

King Kai didn't actually know that it was Frieza who destroyed planet Vegeta, King Kai said it was a guardian who grew angry at the atrocities of the saiyans and brought meteors to destroy the planet as a means to punish them, lol.

But I get the reason for this was because Toei and Toriyama hadn't actually planned ahead and wrote about Frieza yet so this was down to the writers changing this because they were writing as they went along, you could say logically that king Kai should be able to know what really happened since with his antennas he can see across the north galaxy and even knew a lot about Frieza, but then again, there are things that King Kai does miss, for example he was completely oblivious about the events of the androids and Cell despite being friends with Goku and therefore having some reason to watch earth, this shows that king kai isn't automatically alerted to big events, he has to be interested in watching them first so it can possibly be explained away as king kai just not watching Frieza and planet Vegeta at that specific time.

the major issue with this is that goku could not sense the quickly rising ki from piccolo. I mean its not like he could hide his key as he channels it all even a distracted raditz noticed it on his scouter which is not as good as KI and there is nothing to say that piccolo would fight goku at this point. its more likely he would of waited and got stronger while goku didn't due to him not having a reason to train
