I remember using this strategy years ago.. It helped me get out of gold and comfortably into plat. I was solo-queing, so I was the only one doing it... I think it worked because everyone else's mindset was either "TOUCH BALL!!!" or "Score goals!!!", so my thought was that somebody at least should think "save and defend"... It worked like a hack... And I got time to spectate all the wrong things everyone did - helped me learn not to do it myself.

I got on the Xbox (primarily PC player) to play with some friends who are at the Diamond 1 rank and I don’t remember seeing so many goalies since I was gold in season 2 or 3. Try personal protection. each keeps his player whom he chose at the beginning. It is not necessary to always pursue them, the main thing is to block the passes on them and not to give them the opportunity to punch / take the ball. Naturally with safety net

When you play like this people in opposite team will start double commiting (they dont feel thw rotation anymore, start loosing momentum etc.) which leads to the open net gifts for you. Actually slowing down is a meta. You know how Luka Modric waits for that extra 0.5 seconds before passing, and then kills the whole defense with a simplest pass?.. Exactly...

Dont actualy want to watch, just clicked in for the trolls, but being honest here, shouldn´t the player on the left side of the goal, safe the balls that come from the right side of the field? In the beginning i often saw missplacements which resulted in bad situations because if u cover your own post on the left side in my example you take of many routes u could drive for your saving or blocking behavior. Also if you see someone dribbling or taking a play on the right side of the field the left guy should challange early (just like a real goalkeeper sometimes comes out far, because that way he blocks more goal with his body (if that makes sense). Then if u go for 3 goalkeeper stratigy again, the third could stay in the middle of the goal with my strat. Lets say the left guy from my example drives to the right side and blocks a shot, but not rly because the opponent outplayed him or had a lucky 50/50, then the middle goalkeeper comes into place, as he challenges the lefty could go back into his position. I think thats the best way this stratigy could actualy work and i mean also work in moments like these 2:52 u challange early, osm stays in goal, your approaching angle would be perfect for a challenge (osm even better, because of the distance, but that would make things complicated and i think this strat works because there are no double comits because everyone exactly knows what to do [basically the strat gives you the ability to do perfect rotation, done right that is]). Lets say u just got a bad 50/50, still the pass from the opponent never would have actualy happend and osm now could make a clear attempt while u drive back into position. Ps. Directly after that, lets say musty was the right guy and he missed his clear, now u could have gone directly after the wall bounce towards the ball and try to clear it, because now it was on your side, or like i mentiod earlier, osm if he would have been in goal. That way the second goal would have been avoided. You just have to call early when u go for the ball as second men (first men doesn´t need to call at all, because that should be clear), because second men could become very situational vice. That way u would avoid doublecomits with the second defender. And last but not least, lets say lefty, goes for a goal, but misses his shot, now he is upfield, what now? So now 3 things are possible, the ball is carried by your opponent either to the right side, left side or through the middle. Middle should be clear what to do, also the left side should be clear, but what about the right side from the lefty? what if the ball rotates there? In the perfect cenario righty faces faces the left side of the field, so he should rotate into middle possition and the middle guy will challange the right side and the former lefty should in the perfect world rotate back on the same side as the ball, the right side, because he isn´t the lefty anymore, now he is the right guy, the middleguy becomes the lefty and the right guy the middle one. (Thats a damn well thought strategy i might steal this for one or two video´s sry link xD)
