In all honesty this sounds like a WAY better KH3 plot then the actual one and all it costed was Kairi's relevancy. Also this also means that KH2 Sora doesn't lose his abilities, a bit of a downgrade is some areas compared to KH3 Sora however full power KH2 Sora is no pushover either. Speaking of power I can't even imagine just how much stronger Roxas became as the new MC, he was already top tier with his KH2 power level even in KH3 and now that he went into Dream Drop Distance that means he should have gained the abilities Sora did if not something similar so that should mean that hypothetical KH3 Roxas here should be extremely broken, he was already invincible in KH3 but now he must be invincible +, probably even stronger than full power KH3 Sora.

My opinion about this is that the end of 358/2 Days, Roxas was one of the strongest characters in the series. Throughout the entire game he was basically at half power due to Xion continuously sapping his life force, which is why he 'became' so busted OP after Xion died (and Roxas got his second Keyblade back). And even then he still murked Saïx at what could be considered half or less than half of his full strength. This scaling via Saïx alone should put Roxas significantly above KH2 Sora, who Roxas defeated in a 1v1 in Sora's Dive to the Heart (and only lost because of a weird cheap move by Sora). I genuinely don't think anyone in the Organization would be able to stand up to Roxas at that point in time, with the sole exception of Xemnas. Riku just couldn't risk Roxas getting killed if it meant that Sora would never awaken, which is why he needed to give in to the Darkness and stack Ansem's power on top of his own to win. And even then, I think that Xemnas could really only secure a guaranteed win if he merged with the artificial Kingdom Hearts, which itself might be contentious. In one of the Secret Reports, 'Xigbar' states: _"The gears of Xemnas's plans have begun to spin wild since the loss of half our membership at Castle Oblivion. The results are there, but can this state of affairs fairly be called a success? If Kingdom Hearts can be said to possess a mind of its own, it is surely rejecting Xemnas - no, rejecting Xehanort. Roxas left the Organization today."_ So if the artificial Kingdom Hearts, which apparently has a will of its own, were to reject Xemnas, then he might just lose - especially if it chose to empower Roxas instead; as he and Xion were the ones who actually created it.

just wanna point out, sora spent the whole what if as a heartless, and weirdly enough that is entirely possible for kh lore, wouldn't even be the first time he spent a whole game without a body.

I really like this story. Roxas is one of my favorite characters in kingdom hearts and to see how him surviving changed kingdom hearts was great. While i would of loved to see more from this, i think roxas story works as a one shot. But i would love to see you tackle another kingdom hearts what if because very few people do. Damon what if with his what if dragon ball was in kingdom hearts which hasent really been touched as of recent and run with her what if light became a nobody by rune scribble which is pretty sweet. The reason riku lost isn't because he took off the blindfold it's because he submitted to darkness becoming ansem. (Which is in our universe the equivalent to selling your soul to the devil) just to beat roxas. Once riku submitted roxas wasn't fighting riku he was fighting ansem which is why I personally believe roxas ultimately won that fight. Edit: I also think roxas would be made amaster due to his attitude. I enjoyed your video alot sorry if I come off as rude.

An excellent essay to be sure. But given that the yellow haired Roxas has the capacity to defeat the Xemnas guy, what about the two problems that is Xigbar and Xaldin that are basically guarding the white haired dictator?

I actually answer that early on. I believe Roxas either with or without Axel could take Xaldin and Xigbar’s smart enough to see the writing on the wall and bail after feigning defeat
