Things that came to my mind: Russia is stuck in Ukraine, they do not have the soldiers/resources on two fronts at the same time. What has been seen in Ukraine, maintenance does not work, gasoline runs out. Russian army is corrupted and conscription system is poor, they do not have ready-made units = hard to get more troops. Finnish artillery is the largest in Western Europe, the attacker will suffer heavy losses, the terrain (trees, swamps, lakes) is much more difficult than in Ukraine. Western fighters and missiles are better and pilot much better trained (in Russia pilots fly only 100 hours a year)

Idk im really conflicted on how realistic this would be. Finland isnt like Ukraine, we have developed our defense forces since the wars and have maintained them well, and the Finnish countryside is the exact opposite of Ukraine. Ukraine has alot of open fields and Finland just has forests. if they are struggling that hard in Ukraine im not sure they would get that deep even in the beginning.

yeah, the Russo Georgian war in 2008 was kinda an example, plus after that Russia realized that the Georgian army was more better equipped than the ground forces so they had to do the 2008 reforms, which was kinda an embarrassment for russia, plus it would be easier because Russia was distracted by eastern europe
