I live playing the Nordic defense council, you just fortify the hell out of everyone else, take their troops from them and make Sweden the most defendable country on earth. You can weather most the majors attacking you on elite difficulty. It’s truly a sight to see

7:29 I would just keep that situation as is, keep sub raiding and keep their units there in low supply. 1) Their armies there would be unable to push, with the minimum of defense 2) Any armies trying to relocate will probably be destroyed in the seas 3) Their closest port and supply lines would be _VERY_ inefficient *OR* waste civ prod into building infrastructure elsewhere where it will only be useful for as long as you do *NOT* expel them from Kola 4) Very valuable naval XP (and some land xp probably) and air XP if you micro that in that area, too. 5) Diverting their resources from the bigger fronts (though this one is overarching, I guess)

16:26 Releasing puppets is _always_ better for non-core land, wdym. It's only if you don't want to have 1 gazillion regiments or don't like AI regiments that you don't puppet. Every single puppet state will have their own focus trees and the returns are 10-fold back, you can even reintegrate them after they completed infrastructure. Also, as you just said yourself, endless manpower :)

I think the Nordic Council would be better if it was a separate focus tree from the normal trees. In other words, have your normal focus and the faction focus going at the same time. Maybe make it cost more political power to balance it out?

I think there is a way to get them to join whit a 100% chance. (there is a few triggers the AI looks for from the player when you do the decision)... think one reason it failed so hard was because he started it to early (super low world tension as I think if been over like 40% greatly raises it).
