I disagree with you from your first premise forwards: Sasuke is not going to go back to the village willingly. We have to put think of his mindset at the time and in context of all the events that just happened: he had publicly disowned the village, he self-admittedly had cut all emotional ties with all of his former friends and team-mates, he had attacked Leaf shinobi on multiple occasions, and he had modeled himself into this absolute pseudo-sociopathic loner. The only way he’ll be going back, at this point is by force, or if they capture him when he’s still comatose. He doesn’t care about the village. So unless he is captured he will simply group back together with Heavy/Taka and declare their new mission to kill “Madara Uchiha”, resuming his self-designated role as the avenger of of the Uchiha Clan. But even if he somehow managed to kill Obito on his own with only the level of power he had at that point, he wouldn’t return of his own volition, again because of this mindset he has constructed for himself that I described above. He would simply strike out as a lone ninja for the rest of his life, feeling like he doesn’t belong in any village. I do think, however, that if he were captured by Naruto and company that his mindset could be changed by them and he would realign himself with the village, but he isn’t going to rejoin Konoha of his own will.

Reanimated, healthy (as healthy as a corpse can be, lmao) Itachi alone was pretty much a more destructive and deadly shinobi than any other reanimation except for some of the kage and Madara. Then you add Nagato, who took out the entire Konohagakure alone with ease while dying from a disease and also not using his rinnegan to its full capabilities. Reanimated Nagato using the rinnegan on himself rather than as 6 Paths of Pain could've basically do the same shit that Madara did to the 4th division. There's pretty much noone on the alliance's side except for like Sasuke and Guy who'd had any chance of opposing him.

I believe that killing Itachi would still have awakened Sasuke's MS as there is so much emotional investment by Sasuke in that act. This would cause the coma that allows the Konoha team to bring him to the leaf so easily. I also believe that Sasuke would not really want to hang around the leaf village and would think that he could take down "Madara" by himself, but he (and Itatchi's body) would be taken there for treatment by Sakura. Danzo would then learn that Sasuke was back in the leaf and would go see him in the hospital (while he is still in a coma, but after Naruto left to learn sage stuff) to try to take his MS but would be stopped by Kakashi who would be trusted to guard/restrain Sasuke, who is still a rouge ninja, but one who's fate has not been determined yet. Danzo would use the kotoamatsukami on Kakashi to force him to ignore Danzo's presence in the room while Saskue's eyes are removed. However when Danzo reaches towards Saskue's face his eyes open and he uses chidori to kill Danzo. Danzo is saved by izanagi and jumps back to prepare an attack (cue inner dialouge about how stupid Tsunade did too good a job healing him and that Uzumaki brat for always hanging around) At this moment Sauske would see Kakashi, who has his headband lifted in preparation to fight Danzo and the amatarasu would activate, sending black flames flying towards Kakashi's eye, which morphs into MS as the flames approach and sends them into the kamui dimension. Danzo would not have expected Saskue to wake up and so would not have ordered him to not react to Saskues attack. The noise of the chidori would attract the attention of Sakura who was in the hospital doing her rounds. Danzo would flee and Sasuke and Kakashi would both be unable to follow due to the after effects of using MS abilities and waking up from a coma and genjutsu respectively. Sakura would then heal them both and Sasuke would try to go find Danzo. Kakashi (who is well aware of just how shitty a person Danzo is, having worked in the Foundation before) would go report to Tsunade what happened while giving Sasuke and Sakura one of the nin-dogs to track Danzo. This would lead to a fight between a weakend Sasuke, Kakashi, and normal Sakura VS Danzo and some of the Foundation members underneath the hokage's Mansion. Danzo would be defeated but Sasuke would Notice his eyes becoming dim, and the eyes of Itachi (which were in Danzo's lair) would be found. This would lead Kakashi (who has had reason to study sharingan implantaion) to suggest an implantation of Itatchi's eyes and Sakura would go back to the hospital with Sasuke to preform the operation. As soon as Sakura is done and Sasuke is still unconscious, Pain would attack. Sasuke would not wake up until the complete destruction of the leaf, at which point he would wake up and look over the edge of the crater, and naruto with his frogs would be looking around and see Sasuke, who has his MS activated to be ready to attack whatever destroyed the leaf, thinking it was Orochimaru (he has been killed too many times for Sasuke to believe he is dead) come to exact revenge for Sasuke killing him. This would activate the crow that Itachi placed in Naruto causing the Kotoamatsukami to hit Sasuke and force him to help protect the leaf from pain. Then Sage Naruto and EMS Sasuke would tag battle Pain and that would be awesome. After the battle Naruto would be praised as a hero and Sasuke would be welcomed back with open arms. Naruto would tell Sasuke what he learned from Minato about the Masked Man and Kakashi would be elected to go to the Five Kage Summit in Tsunade's place. After this a lot of the same things would occur except with Team 7 back together and Sasuke helping protect Naruto from the masked man (also using Naruto as bait to try and lure "Madara" out).

Tough one... the whole reason why everything was set in motion and ended well was because Shisui did what he did knowing it was for the best. You forgot to mention that naruto was on the turtle island before the war began, sasuke could have had itachi’s eyes implanted in him after naruto left and then the kotoamatsukami from the crow would not go off on sasuke because naruto would be gone for the start of the war. Sasuke would probably have been assigned to a platoon for the war and would fight with everyone else. After this naruto and bee would leave turtle island and they would head towards the war zone, they would get stopped by the raikage and tsunade and fight them. Then they would be allowed to fight in the war and they would end up fighting Nagato and Itachi. The crow would go off on Itachi and he would be out of Kabuto’s control. Then maybe Naruto would send a shadow clone to tell sasuke that Itachi was going to stop Kabuto and that sasuke should go after kabuto also. Sasuke might learn the truth from Itachi and then they would stop Kabuto.

Problem then is that Sasuke would have no reason to seek Orochimaru for answers about the four past Kage and the four past kage would have been off the battlefield, leaving everyone (or just Naruto, Kakashi, Bee, and Gai) to be nuked once Obito or Madara form the 5-gate barrier since Minato isn't there to teleport.

Another problem would be that since Obito would've gotten Shisui's eye, he wouldn't have the rinnegan, so once madara was revived be kabuto, he wouldn't be able to preform the rinne rebirth on madara. He also could've used the Kotoamatsukami on Naruto to convince him to fight for him or to surrender himself so that Obito could become the ten-tails jinchuuriki. Obito would've ended up betraying Madara and eliminating him with the truth-seeking orbs, and probably would've crushed black zetsu too. As naruto would be dead or on the opposite team at this point, Sasuke wouldn't be able to beat Juubito alone, and would also die and as Naruto would be dead, everyone else would've probably died to the ten-tail beast bomb prior to Obito become its jinchuuriki. Plz tell e if there are any plot holes with this line. Edit: Could Obito even become the ten-tails jinchuuriki without the rinnegan? If so then this timeline falls flat.

SkySplitter Gaming WARNING, VERY LONG COMMENT Since Naruto and Sasuke would end up dead again, then the Sage of Six Paths would emerge and would give them their power boost even sooner, possibly soon enough for Minato to teleport everyone to safety. It is possible that when he brings Naruto back that it would remove the effects of the genjutsu, therefore giving Naruto his free will back, though that is purely speculation. Naruto and Sasuke would then have their full power against Obito, whom would not be able to use Shisui's MS abilities for at least a few hours. Since both of his MS powers are useless during this fight and he never had the rinnegan, he would be much easier to defeat, especially since the 10 tails would be fighting him from the inside. Since Madara and Zetsu are both out of commission, there is no Kaguya fight, leaving only the 10 tails to be finished by the Allied Shinobi Force that has even more survivors, including Neji, and since that was beaten before there is no reason they couldn't defeat it again. Guy would not have to open the Eighth Gate and therefore still be a shinobi after the war. Since Obito survived the 10 tails escaping, he would be taken prisoner like Sasuke was, possibly getting Shisui's eye removed due to its power. Sasuke would not feel like he has to stay out of the village, making him a very useful ninja to the Leaf. Kakashi would visit Obito constantly over the years. When Tsunade retires and Kakashi takes over, he might allow Obito to visit Rin's grave on occasion, though he would have his chakra sealed off. During The Last, Sasuke would be in the village. Assuming Hanabi is still kidnapped, Sasuke would probably volunteer to go with Naruto and the others. This can lead to three very different outcomes: 1. The Leaf is destroyed because of the meteor from the moon. 2. Because of Sasuke being there, they defeat Toneri before he can cut the moon in half, meaning the Leaf never had the close call. 3. The moon still gets cut in half, but the meteor is completely destroyed by the combined efforts of Lee and a healthy Guy. While I want to change things up and go for 1 so there is a bit of dark in this, I feel that 2 is most likely. By the time of Boruto, things are mostly the same. Boruto knows Sasuke his whole life and has a relationship similar to what he has with Konohamaru. Sasuke is much closer with his own family, meaning Sarada has a much happier childhood. She takes much longer to awaken her sharingan. Much of their story is the same with Boruto slightly more trained by Sasuke, and Sarada being stronger in base, but no sharingan. Sarada also never doubts Sakura is her mother, meaning Cho-Cho is the only person who goes to find her "real" parents, unless if Neji has a kid who feels the same way, which is doubtful. She does not go searching for Naruto. If she gets discovered by Shin, she dies. The news of Cho-Cho dying might be enough to awaken Sarada's sharingan, which Sasuke and/or Kakashi (who still has his) helps her learn to use. By the Chunin Exams, the new Team 7 is much stronger, going all the way to the finals. Boruto, even though he'd be strong enough to make it to the final round without it (but still not enough to win the final round), would still use the ninja tool and get DQ'd. Then, Momoshiki and Kinshiki would attack them (Sasuke never learned about them, so they are caught by surprise by the power the two possess). More people are hurt than originally, but much of this goes the same as the original timeline. I am unaware of anything after this point of the story, so I cannot go into further parts. Before some smartass says it, yes, I did have too much time on my hand, as I had the night off from work and wrote this whilst taking a shit.

This is legitimately WILD. I really love the fact that you really tried to flesh this what-if out as much as possible -- I can't believe that not finding out the truth about Itachi could possibly cause all this. However, I do think at some point Sasuke would have found out the truth anyway -- Danzo could end up being part of that somehow...not exactly sure, maybe it ends up slipping out, or "Madara" ends up meeting him outside the village -- there'd have to be some really convenient event that happens in order for that to work. I really enjoy how you took it all the way to the end with the hypothetical story. Really good job, integrating the already known info about how it all ended up to form a new narrative. Although, it's a very realistic approach, Naruto is still a story and some of the things such as Itachi freeing himself were written in as a sort of necessity. Things of this nature would obviously be written in again, but makes the points of making a video of this nature, irrelevant and un-fun. BUT! Depends on the time period, for my own analysis I'll be using the characters from the time when they gathered to kill Sasuke. 13. Ino 12. TenTen 11. Hinata 10. Kiba 9. Choji 8. Sai 7. Shino 6. Sakura 5. Shikamaru 4. Lee 3. Neji 2. Sasuke 1. Naruto While it is possible that some lower numbers may defeat some higher numbers I'd still say that the higher numbers would win in more situations due to their stats and abilities. Expanation: Ino & TenTen: Ino has no real way to deal damage to TenTen while TenTen has plenty of wide spread attacks (well, enough widespread for Ino at least) to inflict plenty of damage on Ino. Ino's only real ace would be her mind transfer jutsu, but that jutsu would not be effective in combat because she is unable to damage her oponent with it in any way. At best it would cause a stalemate for a while. Kiba & Choji: Choji has already proven himself to be able to generate enough power to destroy oponents stronger than Kiba before this point. If he uses 2 of those pills for example he should be able to take Kiba down IMO. Sai & Shino: Shino has already demonstrated himself to be stronger than first arc Shippuden Naruto during the original series (again IMO). His widespread bug based attacks are difficult to dodge and only need to connect once for the bugs to land some damage (like burrowing into Sai's skin or poisoning him for example). At this point Shino should already have plenty of various things he can do with his bugs. He could most likely keep them around him as a sort of shield while simultaneously attacking Sai with difficult to dodge attacks. Sai's only option would be to fly on his bird, but he has shown no ability to attack from so far above (which he probably would have in the show if he could). I do believe this to be a close one though. Shikamaru & Lee: This one could go either way IF Shikamaru is prepared for Lee. If however he isn't Shikamaru would have no way of dealing with Lee's speed and power. He would ultimately lose unless he can think of a way to incapacitate Lee while he is being pummeled. I honestly don't think Shikamaru could think of an idea before Lee turns him into a bloody mess on the floor if he has to do it on the spot. Lee is really fast and really strong. If he doesn't just stay in one place and talk to Shikamaru (like they usually do in anime) he would probably beat him. Also, Lee would most likely be able to break out of Shikamaru's shadow possesion jutsu by releasing several gates (and his incredible willpower). Lee & Neji: Lee himself states that he is not stronger than Neji yet. Also, rotation and gentle fist would probably be a deadly combination for Lee in close quarters with Neji. Unless Lee activates 5 gates on the spot. Then it can go either way depending on how long Neji can stay alive after Lee begins his onslaught. Sasuke & Naruto: If we're talking no MS Sasuke and if we give both fighters time to prepare then Sasuke gets destroyed by sage mode Naruto. If not then it can go either way. Really not sure about this one, but it just depends on what the scenario is. I'd still say that Sasuke is stronger because Naruto has no time to generate sage mode without preparation and Sasuke probably wouldn't let him do so unless Naruto outsmarts him with his shadow clones. I really don't know.

I love the idea of Sasuke fighting Pain going through a back and forth with him like he did with Naruto; as it gets drawn out Sasuke starts strengthing his resolve to defend Konoha, Naruto has a similar understanding of his pain now it could act as a catalyst to convince him to be a true leaf shinobi. As the fight continues with both being almost even (giving pain some edge at the moment) Kakashi arrives as support; Pain says “are you ready Sasuke of the Uchiha and Sasuke says “Sasuke of the leaf.,” Sasuke and Kakashi spring Into a formation similar to one in part one ( a little fan service) Sasuke with a smile on his face starts to glance towards Kakashi mid fight feeling home for once, just to have Kakashi burst into black flames infront of many of the leaf villagers. The fight would stop even Pain would be confused, the lead villagers start calling Sasuke a traitor “he’s just as bad as Itachi no he’s worse than Itachi.,” I dunno I feel like if it went like that, it would give him switching to team Taka and attacking the 5 Kage summit a little more umph imo.

JESUS CHRIST. This version of Naruto Shippuden sounded a MILLION times better than the actual one. UNTIL, it got to the point where SwagKage mentioned that Itachi wouldn’t be able to stop Kabuto from undoing the Edo Tensei & The entire Allied Shinobi Forces would get slaughtered by not only MADARA, but the rest of those reanimated people. I’m sorry but I just can’t see the Allied Shinobi Forces winning the war with that huge factor against them. Naruto would probably be dead before he’s even supposed to meet up with Guy & Kakashi to fight Obito.

Sebastian S he missed a couple of things 1.)Danzo would have likely still sealed himself (so no eyeball) 2.) Kabuto doesn’t have a reason to join Obito anymore without sasuke 3.)I find the concept of Kabuto giving Obito the 8 and 9 tails highly unlikely 4.)This is a big what if but I think at some point Kabuto would have ordered the reanimations to attack Obito (likely after most of the Shinobi were killed) I couldn’t really see jubito becoming a thing unless they still happened to do the Jar thing
