Not gonna lie, when I saw Tienshinhan punching frieza in the thumbnail even though he is gone made me think right away that shen-leng wanted to train the z-fighters by making them use the pendulum room to make them go back in time to fight him as a simulation. If he becomes able to materialize katchin when he gets stronger then yeah anyone lower than SSG level would have trouble breaking through it and potentially stronger then that if he learns to infuse his ki into it like when Trunk's infuses ki into his sword

Can I make a suggestion? It is for the recruits for the Order of the Dragon and the future of the story. First off let Videl get trained under the Earthling Z Fighters and reaches levels of power of What if Videl was a Z Fighter but maybe she learns their various techniques and their skills. And here is something you can use to make it funny. Hercule has to be drafted in to the Order of The Dragon. Here is something Shenron has to say to make it hilarious. "As you've declared yourself this planet's champion, I, as the Guardian of Earth, must now ensure that the power of your fists is brought up to the same power level as your mouth." Now here is something that you need to do to take this story into something amazing. First off let Shenron learn about the Super Dragon Balls and also gains greater God Ki and Shenron also learns some of the techniques of the lesser Kai's such as Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb and also abilities from the Supreme Kai's such as Instantaneous Movement so he can better do his job to protect Earth. Also I would love to see Shenron have all the techniques of the Shadow Dragons along with Kami's abilities as Guardian of the Earth just to make him a literal force of Nature. Speaking of the Shadow Dragons please let this story enter Dragon Ball Daima and also Dragon Ball GT and make Shenron face down even stronger Shadow Dragon's born from not only the Negative Energy of the Dragon Balls but also Shenron's Ki and his Divine Dragon Powers and Guardian Abilities. That would make the story be far more personal for the guy and also foreshadowing for what happens if the Dragon Balls are misused. That would be awesome!

The only way that could have gone better would have been seeing Tien throw down the Shin Kikoho in Freeza's stupid face. But I suspect that's being held back for a big debut after the proper training and (presumably) Superhero-style potential unlock, which would probably actually hurt even Perfect Cell. Looking forward to it, since it sounds like the humans may actually get a chance to catch up this time, especially if Shenlong hits on the idea of sending his new Order to Yardrat to build them up further during the upcoming time skip.

I suspect that the Mafuba would backfire if used on Cell. Piccolo was well versed in the technique and can counter it easily. Given Cell's capacity to master all his inbuilt techniques from the jump through his DNA, i imagine he would also be able to counter it the same way.
