We have Meganium, who get's overshadowed by the other two in their trio, and the same goes for like Primarina, Inteleon and Quaquaval. But then we got Charizard and Greninja, who completely destroy THE OTHER TWO in popularity. This is also quite the case for Swampert, Infernape, Samurott and Decidueye, but not THAT bad tho. *(About Charizard)* -Venusaur and Blastoise are very popular too (most of the time because of Nostalgia), but they are small next to Charizard, who did not just get a mega, but got two, got his shiny changed to black (fans absolutely love black shinies), got into a regional dex in galar and got his gigantamax before the dlc, while the other two came with the dlc and Charizard came back in gen 9 as the first terra raid + he's the ace of the galar champion. *(About Greninja)* -And then we look at Greninja, who completely destroys Delphox and Chesnaught. Greninja is the only Pokemon (ever) to get an own form with the bond phenomenon thingie (which is similar to mega evolution but gives +110 bst instead of +100 and it's the ability, so it can also hold an item), he is the ace of ash in kalos, gets a black (and red) shiny (as I've said, fans absolutely love black shinies) AND is in Super Smash Bros, and he also got his Tera Raid very early, while Chesnaught and Delphox got... *nothing.* I mean, they had their Pokemon Go community day before Greninja, but that's it I think. -So Split Evo Starters won't be bad + we also have Hisuian Starter Forms, which is a split evo, just in a different game. So even if it won't happen in a mainline game, I could totally see it in like a spin off maybe, but who knows? *Thx for reading and have a great day :D*

I like what you did with Cocomer carrying on some of the same personality of Fuecoco. I like Skeledirge most out of the Gen 9 starters' final evolutions, but I also agree that it was a shame to see my adorable derpy crocodile lost in its final form. Then, I ended up benching him in favor of Ceruledge because they had the same typing, and Ceruledge is BA.

The issue with Samurott is that they were building up to him being a swordweilding samurai, and all of a sudden its a different animal species on all fours that cant do the cool slashies. Thought Pokemon Legends: Arceus was gonna rectify this and make Samurott stand on its hind legs (and make Typhlosion a quadruped because it standing has never made sense either), and instead just got Samurott with a darker head. The starter i want a split evo for though (or it can be a regional form) is a Blastoise that looks a lot more like Wartortle.

When designing the Oshawott line, the designers desired something more interesting than simply making a bigger bipedal otter for the final form of Oshawott. Designer Yusuke Ohmuru was inspired by sea lions at the Sunshine Aquarium and chose to use a sea lion for the design of the final stage. Though the design of your final form of Oshawott certainly did look like it could’ve been a possible evolution for Dewott.

I would love to see branches evos for Chikorita, pupleo and maybe sobble too. I feel like me along with other fans were somewhat disappointed with their evolutions (I love all Pokemon tho) I like Meganium though I understand were some people say that it is a bit bland. I think keeping the head leaf would be nice and keeping the flower motif would be good. Maybe having something more androgynous or masculine would help them as well because they are all mostly feminine, not that feminine designs are bad but I feel like that's the most complained about thing.

Vagranott! This is my favorites is dope than Samurott. How about branch evolution for Grookey, Sobble, Scorbunny, Tepig, and Snivy. For the branch evolution for Grookey turn into Grass/Rock because rock and roll drummers, Sobble turn into Water/Ghost, Scorbunny turn into Fire/Electric, Tepig turn into Fire/Ground(NO MORE FIRE/FIGHTING TYPE), and Snivy turn into a Grass/Poison or Grass/Dark. If Gamefreak created idea to have starter Pokémon branch evolution, that will be the next big idea for all fans enjoy.

I came up with a lore idea for Besenarde: When a Braixen’s wand either breaks or when it “loses touch” with its wand, the Braixen will instead focus on wits rather than magic. After perfect such a craft, it will eventually evolve into a Besenarde.

The problem with Samurott for me isn’t just because it’s quadrupedal, IT’S THAT IT’S NOT EVEN AN OTTER. It just randomly turns into a sea lion, an animal with no actual relation to otters, and it’s worse because it was the one that got designed before Oshawott and Dewott, so how did the first one that got designed fit so much less than the ones designed afterwards?!

I thought of a few ideas for branched evolutions of the Kanto starters,like a quadropedal Charmander evo that's a fire/ground type, a Bulbasaur Evo with a carnivorous flower that's a grass/Dark type,and a Squirtle Evo that's part dragon,has a long neck and a long braided tail.

Well, for me it’s purely a case by case basis, but a lot of people in general feel that making them bipedal makes them far too humanoid looking, such as with Delphox, Inteleon, Meowscarada, etc., which a lot of people don’t enjoy too much, especially with starters where the expectations for their evolutions are high.

I never understood the discourse over Samurott, I LOVED his design, albeit a bit awkward in combat physics. But then I met Delphox and then I understood the people who were anti-Samurott lmao I'm sorry can we ALSO just recognize that Fuecoco's Final Forms are so well thought out. When you think about how dark Fairytales are in origin, Cocomer suddenly makes Fuecoco look 10x scarier than Skelederge. I mean the egg became a pastry ingredient and that was the Fairy Type form... The Ghost form hatched the flame bird, Fairy Form freaking cooked it!!

One idea I had would be the Popplio line. Its final evolution is Primarina, which is a Water/Fairy Pokemon, which kinda runs counter into the secondary perfect weakness triangle the other starters had (Decidueye has Ghost as secondary, which is weak to Incineroar's Dark type, which is weak to Primarina's Fairy type, which is NOT weak to Decidueye's Ghost type). Really, to have it make sense, Primarina should have a Water/Fighting type thing going on. The final branched evolution would be a Water/Fighting Type Pokemon, and it would look like an Elephant Seal. Elephant Seals are notoriously aggressive, and the males are well-known for beating the crap out of each other during mating season. The males also have large noses, hence the name. Popplio's little pink nose could enlarge during its evolution, growing darker and sagging as it grows up. Since Primarina is the Soloist Pokémon and is depicted as a singer/performer, this branched evolution (not sure what to call it) would represent the circus strong man, and it'd be the Strong Man Pokemon. It could even sport a kind of leopard-skin pattern jumpsuit, making it also resemble a Leopard Seal. This way, the Elephant Seal Pokemon would be strong against Incineroar, but ineffective against Decidueye.

Branched evolutions for Starter Pokémon sounds like an amazing idea My idea for a branched evolution for Tepig would be something that goes back on all four's as what I hoped for instead of what we got in the form of Emboar. Instead of a bipedal fire/fighting type wrestler pig, I would have come up with a fire/dark type that resembles a cross between a warthog and an Entelodont, a type of aggressive and extinct relative to modern day pigs.

I find it weird that rather than contrast Delphox you went with something that goes along with it. I like the look of the oshawott one though it kind feels like bigger dewott and I think thats because of the face as everything else is different enough. It should have whiskers that merge into the collar going around it. I think that would look cool and make it feel much more different. I like the direction and a lot of aspects of cocomer, the name, the fire spikes and themes. Though theres something about its execution I don't like, I think its because it gives me barney vibes. Maybe the eyes should be different. Actually it might be that its right eyebrow is too close to the center of the face. If I cover it up with my mouse to simulate how it might look if the eyebrow was more to the side, it starts to look better.

About the cross-gender role debate in the Pokémon community all I have to say is that they are all amazing just the way they are. Take an example of Pokémon who have cross-gender roles like Incineroar, Quackaval, Delphox, etc. They’re literally made this way purely because of the symbolism. I’ve realised a thing that a majority of people in the pokemon community do and that is being constantly pressed about seeing male pokemon/characters take part in “feminine roles” or the opposite with female Pokémon/characters taking part in “masculine roles” For instance, Incineroar, Delphox, Quackaval. Have they not seen women championship wrestlers, men ballet ballad dancers or Men pagan ethnics before? You people HAVE to accept that hobbies and interests don’t have a specific gender and finally get over it. It’s 2024 😭

I do very much love Delphox, myself; always did love Pokemon that I find adorable like it, and never had any problem with bipedal Pokemon like it, Machamp, Lucario, or Lopunny; but Besenarde is very cute, too. I can't really say I have any particular preference between them. I just love them both. Vagranott is kinda cute, too. I still like both it and Samurott equally, myself. Not to the same extent as Delphox, but still. Water-Ghost is an interesting type combination. Given Rounin being more known as dishonorable generally due to having simply left to continue their lives rather than committing suicide alongside their master's death, it would be really fitting to be Dark, but either way, I do well understand the Ghost inspiration and do like that you and Oscar didn't go, "on the nose" with it with Dark; not to mention Hisuian Samurott already being Water-Dark. Ghosts can, of course, be seen as evil or dishonorable, anyway; much as in Ghost of Tsushima. Skeledirge, I don't have any particular attachment to normally, but being a big Persona fan, I do love its Shiny! Cocomer, in my opinion, is just alright, though. Personally, though, I never did generally "dislike," let alone completely "hate" any particular Pokemon outside of simply not being a fan of them. They are what they are in the world, and I'm okay with them existing as they are. I would choose Skeledirge more than Cocomer because of the connections I find between its Shiny and Persona 3's Sun Arcana Social Link.

In my opinion: Vagranott has the best design among those three, but Samurott is cooler (best starter's final form in Unova). It would be better with some allusion to that hat worn by the ronin. Besenarde is kinda okay among the three, but is no match for Delphox in terms of design (second only to Greninja in Kalos). It could be a quadrupedal allusion to princesses but retaining the Fire/Dark typing, as a twist in that trope in fairy tales of witches harming members of nobility. Sorry if I'm being harsh, but Cocomer is the worst of the trio. For me, it's okay it's not, in terms of design, neither fiercer than Skeledirge nor a stronger (and bipedal) allusion to death and the Día de los Muertos thematic, but it could be way better in its own premise of looking goofy yet strong. It looks like a better mid-form than Crocalor, though. That being said, DEFINITELY wanna see more pokémon in this format, because it's an awesome concept.

Like the series. Didn't like the choices of evolves. Branched samurott should've had a thinner sharper shell Nd kept the armour personally. Skeledeirg should've just used the fake leak evolution, the fat croc with fairy wings based on the myth.. delphox is okay but could've been improved, idk what you'd do with it. I just don't like the ear fur/hair. Just in my opinion, no offence.

I like how Besenarde actually has the word "Besen" in it as well which is the german word for broom.

I think the concept of Vagranott is amazing, but the execution fails for me... Here is what I would change if I could draw: Shrink the spike on the back of the tail & give them duel blades instead. The blades would be a progression Dewott's two shells, one smaller than the other based on a samurai's Daishō.

I love these, I feel like you actually addressed fan criticisms well. Even on an evo you didn't feel that way about Vagranott was my favorite of the bunch. The only thing that my be an issue in terms of realism is that the pokemon company seems to have an unwritten rule where all fire type pokemon have to be bipedal. Unfortunately pokemon has never strayed from that, so I would have loved to see if you could design besenarde with the same concept, typing, and colors, but somehow manage to actually show how the bipedal fox SHOULD have looked. I think alot of what's wrong with bipedal pokemon isn't that they exist at all, its about proportions and how they move/look like how they're built. Pokemon has shown with several mons prior that they can do it, but keep choosing to favor excessively human proportions instead.

Cocomer kindof resembles for me a quote on quote "leaked" fuecoco evolution design, with this more pinkish color, fairy type, and the ridges on its back looking like the fiery fairy-wings of the leaked design... which Im surprised wasnt an inspiration for that design. Also side note... the scellidurges bird literally died twice at this point... once it died to become this egg... and then egg died and had been baked into that cake...

I think this idea of branched starters could've work in a Legends game, because then you can take already used starters like how LA did with the Hisuian forms and give these returning starters something new to them, while also making that Legends game unique compared to LA. Speaking of which, Besenarde and Cocomer might just be straight-up regional forms, and I do like their ideas in general if they would ever be used. However I don't think Vagranott would work since Samurott already has something unique of it's own in it's Hisuian form.
