I think in the 2nd route, the swordsmith village would be in a lot more danger, since if tanjiro is that much stronger, he wouldnt be breaking his sword nearly as often, so he has no reason to visit haganezuka in the village.

@@PlentyMan yeah, but its much less likely to, cos then he would much more skilled in deflecting the attacks correctly, like what he started doing against gyuutaro, but more consistently and with more intent. Also, based on the manga, nichirin swords seem to get stronger the harder u grip them or sth, based on how iirc the snake hashira started trying to get red swords by gripping it tighter against muzan, which almost caused him to black out. And it seems like the colour of the sword indicates its effectiveness as well. With tanjiro being that much stronger in the beginning, his sword would be more effective right from the start. Also, if the sword's durability wasn't tied to strength somehow, it wouldve just kept breaking even more against rui

Great analysis with lots of different ways the story could have gone depending on characters actions, really interesting how kokushibo also spoke to tanjuro, I feel like he really would want to do that finally having the chance to talk to someone who was influenced by his brother after all these years.

Common misconception: Muzan didn't know the Kamados practiced sunbreathing. He did however know about the connection to the sun. He wanted to make a sun immune demon.

@@thewolf3966yes and also most likely muzan.. you must understand that he mastered hinokami kagura and was born with his demon slayer mark just like yorichii, also even when he was sick he was extremely fast and agile and strong with his frail body from his sickness and still managed to move like he wasn’t sick. He killed off a giant bare in a blink of a eye super easily like it was nothing. If he wasn’t born with his sickness or was cured somehow and decided to join the demon slayer and got training he would become the strongest hashira in all of history right behind yorichii. He was so identical to yorichii as well and naturally skilled he would move faster his blows would be more powerful than any of the hashiras in the stories due to his sun breathing and and plus his mark and red sword he would just kill off muzan. He was nearly on par or possibly on par to yorichii in skill kokushibo and muzan wouldn’t stand a chance

I will say, the likelihood of Tanjiro breaking his swords enough to have to go to the Swordsmith village is much lower in scenario two. His swords kept breaking because he kept using Water Breathing, which he wasn’t suited for right? Or did I misunderstand that?

No, your assumption is right, but Tanjiro kept breaking his sword because of the lack of proper skills, and in the second scenario, he would be much more skilled, and won't be breaking his sword so often, which in turn, leads to him not having to go into the Swordsmith Village, putting is in more danger

Imagine if Yoriichi stayed with the Kamado Family teaching them Sun Breathing when he was suprised Sumiyoshi could do it. Then passing down both earings and his nichirin sword. Then Either Tanjiro or Tanjuro would be there the Muzan visited. Either Muzan dies, or run away like he did with yoriichi, but either way thr Kamados still live.

Ubuyashiki seems to know tamayo even without tanjiro meeting her, if i recall correctly ubuyashiki tells tanjiro to send tamayo his regards which caught tanjiro by surprise because he never told him about her, so i think even if all the hashiras died during the fight with muzan tamayo would turn demon tanjiro into a human

Great theories, although in story one, Muzan and Kokushibo weren't looking for sun breathing users. Muzan was actually just walking around injecting everyone with his blood and hoping a demon would come out. Thats why Nezuko turned into a demon and Tanjiro's family couldn't survive Muzans blood.

That isn't right, he was actually looking for kamados, because he got information that they know sun breathing, and he injected blood to them, because he thought that when they are sun breathers, they could resist the sun, but everyone except nezuko didn't survive the blood

Actally I think for the first one. Yes they would maybe die but tanjiro dad had the talent and skill to pretty much be as close to yorrichi if not a little stronger. You made a mistake, as for in the third theory where he doesn’t become friends with zenitsu and inosuke. So obviously Tanjiro wasn’t there. Rengoku would’ve never died because Akaza was sent there by Muzan because he wanted him to kill Tanjiro

option 2 was my absolute favorite 1.the story would be better with it (not hating on original) 2. tanjiro knew what sun breathing was bc he saw his dad doing the dance as a kid, but remembered when fighting Rui and called it hinokami kagura 3. why would a demon have a friendly conversation with a human, like 4. this is for kny fans that think this, in Mugen train arc muzan did NOT send Akaza to kill tanjiro, it was for muzans search for the spider lilly so he can conquer the sun. ty for your time! :)

Muzan wouldn't turn Tanjiro bc Hantengu didn't report Nezuko's immunity to the sun in his final moments since she is dead, which, in the original manga, made Muzan believe that Sun Breathers are immune to sunlight when turned. In this scenario, Muzan wouldn't get the idea, thus Tanjiro would not become a demon.
