I mean they technically did irl, if where going from the duchy of Prussia to Brandenburg- Prussia to Prussia to north German confederation to German empire. So yes technically the Baltic’s did unify Germany.

It's too bad that forming nations replaces your starting primary cultures, because forming Germany as the Baltic governate would be quite good because you would also accept Russian. Also further forming the HRE would have French, German, North Italian AND Russian primary would be amazing. There's a mod that let's you keep cultures that you already accept, but it should be like that in the base game.

There is a mod that allows you to keep past Primary Cultures when you form a new country. It’s unfortunate that Paradox gives some special treatment for Argentina forming the Federation of the Andes when they’re Rio de la Plata, but they lose the Platinean primary culture.

This reminds me of the one Baltic path in Kaiserreich where you can form Fascist Germany as the United Baltic Duchy through creating an endsieg scenario where Germany caps and the Reichspakt falls but you are still able to come back and win the war, forming a new Germany

Prussia is actually heavily influenced by adopting Swedish millitarism during its invasion to the west . And Sweden took over the baltic region as well in a period.

Really cool, i had the same idea but i cheated by making myself independent from game start, then i got Prussia as an ally, built a big navy and army, usurped the prussiab sphere and beat Austria, very cool that you could do it normally

@@CarpathianKnight iirc, when u formed nations in Vic II, it would keep old accepted cultures and I was disappointed when my Luxembourg-into-Germany didn’t have French accepted.

@@CarpathianKnight ugh, that's so lame. You should be rewarded with the option to have an added Russian primary culture if you're going to deal with forming Germany with the Baltics.

@@Liam-iv7wk there are stranger instances of losing primary cultures upon forming new countries. If you form the Federation of the Andes as Rio de la Plata, you lose Platinean as a primary culture, even though you get a unique flag for doing so.
