Interesting voice actor choices although I think if Mel Blanc voiced the Troublesome Trucks, then I think the pitch of his voice should be similar to characters like Daffy Duck, Porky Pig & Tweety.

I think Kenneth Williams could’ve been good as James, he was well known for being in the Carry On film series plus he usually played very snobby characters so he would’ve been perfect as James had the Railway series been adapted back in the 50s or 60s.

Y'know, I once saw an edited shot of an episode from Gerry Anderson's 'The Secret Service', made to look like 'The Sad Story of Henry', with the engine in the tunnel for certain. Surely that could mean another interesting what if: Who would voice who if Century 21 gave the Railway Series a try themselves? Perhaps something far more ground breaking with Meddings since David Mitton was around at the time?
