That use to be the thought until Fuecoco since Gators aren’t on the Chinese Zodiac haha I’d prefer there to be no specific rule set for the starters so there’s more design opportunities! Glad you like them 😊

Also I noticed that your starters fit with the theories of grass type being an extinct animal, fire types being a zodiac animal and water type being related to weapons (although it's always hard to tell what weapon the water one is based on till it is fully evolved).

You should make a Steel Dragon Pokémon Line based on Train Bandits, either being based on the robbed train itself like a dragon that hordes money, or a literal "Train" Bandit that steals money. Connections are the Dragon stereotype that they horde coins and money and Train Bandits obv lmao. It makes sense for the themes of your region as, even tho train bandits are villainous, they do indeed work together to get the job done. Or if you are just going by the train aspect, they are literally a line of carts working together to haul whatever they are carrying.

I'll have to wait for this region to be completed before I can come up with a full team, but so far, I'm leaning towards picking the Fire starter. As for other team members, I always use a Ground type to deal with Electric types so Saphruff is a viable option, and if Verde does evolve into Grass/Dark, that could also be useful, as I usually use a Dark or Ghost type to deal with Ghosts and Psychics, plus at least one Grass attack to deal with Water/Ground types. And I picked the Grass/Dark Meowscarada as my starter in Pokemon Scarlet.

I love all these guys!! My favs are Azurubble, Catapurr, Kittoon and Saphruff. The vaporwave-esque aesthetic of the titles looks super cool too! Really curious about what the regional gimmick will be.. Just a suggestion, since they're called "Dawn" and "Dusk" I think the Japanese text should be ドーン for Dawn and ダスク for Dusk. The Japanese names of the main series titles from Gen 3 onwards are pretty much English words written in katakana (e.g. ルビー・サファイア・エメラルド, ブラック・ホワイト, スカーレット・バイオレット, etc), so the literal translations of 夜明け and 夕暮れ in kanji+hiragana look a little out of place imo

It was my first attempt at a standard Pokémon region and I just did what I was familiar with, but yeah it’s not the most original which is why I just stuck with my Zelda region instead !
