And also, Derivakat's songs, her album "Songs of the SMP", one of the first Beetleebug's songs "An Ode To L'manberg", Amanda Fagan's songs, Kanaya's songs and others would not be as we know them today if Dream SMP not blowned up. Some of them would't exist at all! Or maybe MOST of them! For example: "Gone Away" by CG5, "Home", "Blue Sheep", most of Derivakat's songs, Ranboo themes from various musicians. My guess for where the SMP and people linked to it would be as of this comment being written Dream SMP - Ended ages ago due to lack of interest from viewers and content creators Tommy - Still moderately successful on youtube, but not even close to what he has today, my guess is 500k-2mil subs. My reasoning for this is his initial momentum source was the Dream SMP and Dream taught him a lot of what he knows about how youtube works, which has contributed to his success Tubbo and Jack - Small/Medium sized twitch steamers, likely not full time Wilbur - Probably smaller on twitch but I doubt his youtube career would have been effected too much as he actually made surprisingly little Dream SMP content on his youtube channel, his channel might be smaller but I think his youtube career would still be fairly successful. I doubt he would have been as close to Tommy however which means he might have been in the depression he was in in late 2020 longer, which would probably have ramifications I can't think of. Quackity - Content style never changed from what it was before the Dream SMP Dream & Co. - Channels might be a bit smaller, twitch presence would be smaller, largely unaffected though as he hasn't made any Dream SMP content on his own platform since the L'Manberg war Schlatt - Following might be a bit smaller due to no viewer mixing with people like Tommy Technoblade - Channel is smaller due to no viewer mixing. Might have more skyblock content or tried something new these are just my guesses for some of them, don't take is personally!

My favorite detail about the DreamSMP lore is that Tommy brought attachment to the server, and with it brought manipulation and theft and all the worst parts of it, but also love and an ability to care and all the best parts. I love how it's a two edged sword, and how we see moments where this existence of attachment is the very best and very worst thing on the server. So, in this version without Tommy, everybody seems so much colder, and of course that's because nobody brought any of that in the first place. There's no value in emotional items, so by extent, there's no value in emotion at all. The DreamSMP as it is, even in its early days, was always more about emotional conflicts than political ones, and that would all change without Tommy. So, even if it would mean that the lowest points in the server- the Pogtopia arc, the exile arc, the Green Festival, Doomsday, et cetera, would all never happen, I would still never want to see a version of the SMP without Tommy, and by extention without attatchments, because that would also mean no clingyduo watching the sunset from the bench while listening to Cat. No heartfelt moment where Tommy and Sapnap free Mars and watch him swim out to sea. No swell of joy when the original members of L'Manburg find out that their nation had just been emancipated. No Henry. Likely also no Michael, or Steve, or Carl, or Friend, or any other mob whose given emotional significance, because without Tommy to set the example, why would anybody assign them emotional value that could just be exploited the next time they get in a fight? In short, the SMP needs to suffer through thr pain of attachment to keep on being what it is.

This video was really nice xD I've been behind on the lore, but I'm more interested in their statistics and impact anyway. It's so interesting to think back to the start of the Dream SMP, which wasn't even called that at the beginning. It was just an ordinary Minecraft let's play with friends, the only real difference being that it was live on Twitch. It didn't have much going for it. Now obviously it did better than most of these kinds of projects. But whilst this was because of the main cast being the Dream Team, I don't think it would've stayed popular for long. Because, at least in my opinion, people like George or Dream aren't really... Interesting. At least long term. I think they work well in Manhunts and KZbin videos in general, but if there wasn't someone like Tommy or Wilbur, i think they wouldn't have stayed interesting enough. This is, like I said, my train of thought with my opinions. But I think that especially Tommy and Dream really pushed each other. Tommy getting on the SMP was a huge boost to his popularity, but him being the kind of person that he is ensured that the SMP wouldn't get boring. If you think back, Dream was strictly against fighting and griefing, he wanted everything to be nice and calm. But I don't think the SMP would've been interesting to watch if nothing happened. And thus Dream and the SMP cast wouldn't have gotten so many viewers. Tommy needed Dreams server to help him succeed, but Dreams server and Dream himself needed Tommy to stay relevant. At least that's how I see it. Now I basically partially recreated the conclusion of his video and put my opinions in it xD why did I do it? I dunno. Thanks for reading though

Tommyinnit played a big part in making the SMP what it is today. I personally stopped caring as much after the FInale stream and really stopped entirely after Wilbur was revived. But Tommy shaped how most of the stories would've even ended ESPECIALLY if you consider all the people Tommy requested to join.
