I'm aware I pronounced jinchuriki wrong, I mistyped it junchiriki in the script. I am however 1000% never going to adapt a weird faux-Japanese accent to pronounce words like "Jujutsu" in the middle of an English sentence cause that's infinitely more cringe. I'm not gonna pronounce Kaisen "Kay-sen" either though obviously.

The only one I would change is giving Edward Justimon instead. I think the way justimon can switch out its arms to different weapons works well with the way Edward can change the shape of his arm. You've hit the jackpot with this concept. I'd love to see even more protagonists, rivals, teachers, bad guys. You have so many options!

I do really like your line for Light, but I honestly think Lucemon’s line would be perfect for Light. First of all, Lucemon’s got the whole heaven imagery that light has. And what’s the sin Lucemon represents? Pride. And what else would you call Light considering himself the “God of the new world?” Also, he was such a good kid, it’s such a shame that he “fell down.” Eh?

Yeah definitely considered Lucemon for Light! I think you could throw Lucemon Falldown Mode instead of Metalfantomon and it would work well. I think I mainly skirted Lucemon for Light cause I picked it for Dio first in the planning stages.

Sailor Moon with Lunamon all the way to GraceNovamon seems more likely to me. She has a cat named Luna & her name Usagi is the same Moon Rabbit basis. GraceNovamon would be referencing her Eternal Form as well as her final adversary Sailor Galaxia.

​@@bookmew1081 I see where you are coming from but LovelyAngemon is a magical girl Digimon with heavy Sailor Moon influence in its design. Gatomon or BlackGatomon can reference Luna and Artemis and Angewoman and LovelyAngemon reference her Eternal form where she has angel wings. Plus Sailor Moon's powers are about purifying other beings as well as her personality which helps her save others with her light from dark energy. She is 100% suited for a Digimon that defeats the dark which also fits best with the crest of light as well.

Besides the physical similarities between the two of them, I'm not quite sure Justimon fits entirely with his personality. At very least I feel like his mega is better off being something that is representative of "The Truth" that we see in Fullmetal Alchemist, and something reflective to that.

You know what I find hilarious. Kari’s Japanese name is Hikari and in the Japanese version her surname is Yagami. So it kind of makes sense why even in 2020 they made it Kamiya. If they hadn’t her name would have literally been Light Yagami.

Pulsemon for Deku is honestly perfect and if I had a choice to give an anime character a Digimon partner would be the Hyokomon line to Tanjiro Kamado of Demon Slayer and his Sister Nezuko a Salamon that would go into the LadyDevimon line but due to her still retaining some humanity would naturally Digivolve to Mastemon instead of Dna Digivolving

Aside from personality I think KingEtemon fits Luffy perfectly it's even coated in Chrome Digizoid just like how Luffy coats his body with Armament Haki and has nice synergy with Luffy as he can lower willpower while Luffy can knock out people with low willpower with his conqueror's Haki.

I think for Light Yagami I would very much pick Lucemon as his partner both because it's named after/based on Lucifer whose name means "light bringer" and because its prideful nature matches Light's defining god complex. But props for giving him the other Falldown Mode since Ophanimon FM in Tri was the partner of Hikari (light) Yagami.

This one is a bit of a stretch, but while not fully tied to their abilities, you could make the case that from a thematic point of view, AM could have a Gankoomon while Deku has the Hackmon line. Hackmon idolising Gankoomon like Deku with AM, and going through tough rigorous training to hone their strength, with Deku improving along the way, just the Hackmon line before becoming Jesmon

A part 2 with 1 character from multiple anime is always good, some suggestions I'd like to see would be Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Hunter X Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Reincarnated as a Slime, and Magi. However, for the idea of giving multiple characters from just 1 anime a partner, for some reason Sailor Moon stood out to me from my list. I feel like each of the Sailor Scouts could have pretty distinct Digimon partners!

If we're talking about giving Digimon to a Joestar back in Highschool I gave Joseph a Palmon. Palmon's Vine like claws are purple in color and can be used like wip, tether, or lasso. Giving a similar appearance and basic uses as his stand. For the Mega instead of Rosemont it would be Banco-Lillymon. The more punk ascetic fitting his BT appearance. BLillymon also uses a Yo-yo as a weapon, which sounds just as stupid on paper as Joseph's clackers.

But still, from what I’ve been told, this could lead to some really fun and interesting stuff! Though with Yugi it seemed more like you focused on the spirit of the puzzle rather then the actual Yugi character so if you do a part 2 it might be interesting to see something for little Yugi. Also if you do a part 2 I'd love to see characters like Usagi from Sailor Moon. I've tried something like this but for her I always seem to end up picking Dianamon and that seems a little too obvious so it would be interesting to see if you chose differently or if you chose the same, what line you came up with.

@@Karn_EX Little Yugi actually has a very different deck but you only see it in the last half of the last season, it's a lot more kid like, I guess that's why I saw a digimon inspired by the deck he uses for most of the show as being more linked to the spirit. Sorry, big original Yugioh nerd here XD. That and Digimon Adventure and 02 were pretty much all I watched growing up. And hey, if you do Sailor Moon, she's a great character to give Lopmon too as a rookie since her name actually means rabbit, I mean how much more fitting can you get?

Ther was a joke in the fandoms for a little bit about how similar Light and Kari are: same surname (at least in Japanese in Kari's case), Hikari is the Japanese word for *light,* and "Kari" is just a vowel swap away from "Kira." So while I do like the rest of the line, I would have given him a Gatomon or BlackGatomon as the Champion in reference to this. Also, the imagery of Light having a cat is just funny, do you have any idea how badly a cat would screw him over?

The characters in mind would be the ten Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask. @@bookmew1081 The main issues I have with the Olympus 12 being options are A) On a visual level, certain members just don't appeal to me when put next to the respective Sailor Senshi, i.e. Mercury and Mars being the main two. B) Uranus and Saturn are not Olympian Gods therefore have no equivalents within the Olympus 12. However, I am quite happy with my choices which are as follows. I like the idea of giving Light a Digimon partner based on his Shinigami partner Ryuk. However I don't think you should have mixed in elements of Misa but rather given her a Digimon as well based on her own Shinigami partner, Rem. So I gave Light DemiDevimon as his rookie, Devimon as the champion, SkullSatamon as the Ultimate, and Beelzemon as his mega. I actually started with the Mega level because I think Beelzemon matches Ryuk's design and personality pretty well and from there worked my way backwards through digimon that could officially become Beelzemon but also had similar design queues with Ryuk. Misa was a lot harder to choose Digimon for. Rem has a sort of mummy design so I immediately thought Mummymon but he doesn't really have a full evolution like and plus doesn't really fit with Rem's more female appearance. So I decided to just make up a Digimon loosely based on official Digimon. Kudamon as the Rookie, Darcmon as the Champion, Mummywoman as the Ultimate, and Pharaohwomon. The first two being official Digimon I thought would fit the Egyptian theme I was going for while the last two are female variants of Mummymon and Pharaohmon. Someone please make fan art of that.

If you are planning to watch One Piece.......oh god you have a lot of catching up to do because damn does it have a LOT of episodes lol. I did my own lines for 3 of these characters: Deku I gave, Chibomon, DemiVeemon, Veemon, Veedramon, AeroVeedramon, UlforceVeedramon/Future Mode Thia line mainly cuz I could just picture Deku with a Veemon for aome reason and the line has mostly wind powers as a nod to Deku being able to fire off wind All Might I gave Fufumon, Kyokomon, Ryudamon, Ginryumon, Hisyaryumon, Azulongmon This is due to a potential story I though of where All Might plus 3 other had partners before Class 1A and they became the Sovereigns. Kind of like in Adventure Yugi I gave Poyomon, Tokomon, Patamon, Wizardmon, Mistymon, Dominimon I had to build this around Wizardmon as a reference to Dark Magician

These are all fantastic picks! I really enjoyed this video as it’s something I love to think of ideas for. Here are some ideas for a future video: Gon Freecs from Hunter x Hunter: I think the Guilmon line fits him perfectly. However, I do want to reference Gon’s fall to darkness later on in the Chimera ant arc and so I think for him: Guilmon to Growlmon to Blackwargrowlmon and finally Megidramon/Chaosgallantmon. Usagi from Sailor Moon: I think to both reference her sailor self and also her name, Sailor Moon/Usagi should have Lopmon as a rookie, maybe Darcmon for her champion, Angewomon for Ultimate before ending with Cherubimon X. I would love for this to become a series, maybe with each episode for one schow or the main characters of some schows that fit in the same archetype if there are too many characters that you dont know in one show. My personal favorite picks that either were mentioned in the Vid or by others in ther comments are all the main JoJos and maybe their Jobros and the sailor scouts from sailor moon and my own pick would be Madoka magica or soul eater (I'm trying to not just put a list of not so well known manga here.)

I do also really dig 80s and 90s anime like Cowboy Bebop, Akira, GitS and even can tolerate Eva in small doses haha

For Sawada Tsunayoshi (From Katekyo Hitman Reborn) i'd give him the Coronamon Line. The entire line has a flame on their head like Tsuna does whenever he enters Dying Will/Hyper Dying Will Mode and it's based off a Lion which just so happens to be Tsuna's Box Weapon Partner Leone di Cieli ver. Vongloa... nicknamed Nuts. The line is mentioned to be very fast like Tsuna is (the Champion Firamon can even Fly which Tsuna can also do). Coronamon is a young Digimon that Digivolves into a member of the Olympos 12... Tsuna is a young Middle School Student that is set as the heir to the biggest and most powerful Mafia Family in the World... both a young and innocent that grow up to become leaders. The whole line is related to the Sun which is one of the Dying Will Flame Types, while not Tsuna's it is the flame of one of his guardians Sasagawa Ryohei who he calls Big Bro and his tutor Reborn is the Sun Arcobaleno. (It's Champion is called the Sky Flying Lion so there is another link as Tsuna's Flame Type is the Sky Flame). And the most simple reason... it has fire powers like Tsuna and heavily focuses on Fire coated Punches and Kicks.

Honestly, I love this idea. One of my favorite animes is Mobile Fighter G Gundam and I am slightly curious what you think Domon Kasshu's partner would be. Though, not really sure what I would give him myself. Also, out of the Joestar family line, I figure Jotaro Kujo would probably be your best bet on that or perhaps Joseph Joestar since both get multiple parts that would allow for more wiggle room with the Digimon lines.

I've been waiting for this, and you really didn't disappoint. A good one for next time could be Berserk of Gluttony; doesn't have an anime adaptation yet so might not be as viable, but the main character Fate would work really well with a Beelzemon for obvious reasons, and Phantomon or Reapmon/Baalmon for the grim reaper theme he adopts along the way, and because the later directly relates to the mega form.

I know this is months old but I recently had an epiphany that the Hackmon line would be perfect for Ichigo from Bleach. There's spoilers for the final arc though... -same color scheme as his fully hollow transformation -Hackmon's name is a distortion of the Japanese "Hyaku" meaning "White" which is a pun on the title of the anime but also matches the name of the hollow Ichigo's powers originates from as well as his white Zangetsu spirit. -the hollow White itself has blades for arms similar to Jesmon -in the final arc Ichigo is designated one of the 5 war powers due to his latent ability, similar to how Hackmon was chosen by Gankoomon to train and become a Royal Knight. As well as Jesmon's OS Generics. - Gankoomon also kind of resembles Ichigo's various mentors: older man like Isshin, hand-to-hand combatant like Yoruichi, wears geta like Urahara, but also bears a resemblance to Ichigo's other spirit in Old Man Zangetsu -the final stage Jesmon GX being a combination of Gankoomon and Jesmon just as Ichigo combines his two Zangetsu for his true bankai -also Jesmon's three musketeers resemble Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka even being able to create a triangular shield
