Come Judgement day all of those involved within that despicable system will reap what they sow. They believe they can treat human beings like cattle and get away with it. They may in this life, but The Most High sits high and looks low. Their time is coming. Appreciate you sharing these stories, most people have the slightest clue of what inmates deal with.

When I was in prison I had a staph infection on my knee from doing push-ups on the floor.., I wrote several sick calls and all they would give me is Tylenol and I kept telling them that it needs to be cut open to clean it out it was under the skin but they just ignored me for 3 weeks. I kept writing sick calls to the point where I was so sick I couldn't eat or get out of the bunk. My knee was big as a basketball! I just so happened to mention it to my mom on the phone call. She was a sergeant with the sheriff's department, the next day after she called up there they took me to an outside hospital the doctor said I had blood poisoning and could have died. If she didn't call I probably would be dead today..😎👍

Man, my aunt‘s best friend was locked up in the County Jail out here and only had about nine months to do, she had a tooth infection and was complaining for about a month and nobody would send her to get checked out, and one day they release her with three months left on her sentence for no reason. She goes home and within a week she went into a coma, and had to get her legs and arms amputated at the knees and elbows. Sued the jail and got $3 million. Which ain’t shit compared to your arms and legs, but it just goes to show they don’t care if you live or die in there. My ex girlfriends step mom was a prison nurse and she blew her brains out. What’s that tell you

I have worked in medical at a prison. It is horrible! Inwas shocked at inmates were treated and left because I refused to lie and cover up stuff. You are telling the truth about what happens. I was traumatized from all that I saw. The system is messed up- on both the inmate side and government side. I literally had to go to counseling to get over what I witnessed. The experience changed my outlook. I have always heard that prisons are like country clubs, they have food, tvs, and comfortable. Prison is hell on earth for lots of people! I believe that a should serve time for crimes,but under such inhumane conditions. It’s sad, but some feel like once u begin to serve time u are no longer human. I’m hoping that your story will keep others on a straight path!

As a former corrections nurse, I find this very sad and unacceptable. When I worked at the maximum security prison the level of care I saw was something I didn’t expect. Idk what I did expect. I worked in the hospital part. They were in more serious conditions. I saw them receiving care that many couldn’t afford on the outside. $1,000 a pill cancer medication. Among other things. I loved my job bc I love being a nurse. The care that other inmates got not in the hospital part I always heard from friends and relatives were just as you spoke of. That makes me sad first, then mad. Bc I feel that if you can’t treat everyone with respect and take care of them the right way. You don’t need to be a nurse or a dr. Idc who you are, we’ve all done something wrong. Many of US just didn’t caught. I’m so happy you made it out alive and well 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

@gladysjarrett60822 жыл бұрын
It’s a whole lot I can say about this video. I see both sides. One thing I do agree with was when you said the inmates can be guilty of trying to manipulate medic so that’s why medic have to be on guard to make sure inmates not trying to play them. The nursing department of any corrections facility is not owned by the corrections facility it is contracted out to the company. Secondly, with the chest pain you were experiencing it was the warden holding you up from being properly evaluated and assessed. Nurses have standard protocol order sets in prisons and for chest pain after the full assessment you immediately should have just been sent out by a bus. Thirdly, the DON would have never discussed another pt medical history with another person/inmate and violated HIPPA even if you were asking out of concern or not. She would lose her job. Forth, the only pain meds we prescribe in a correctional facility are Tylenol #3 (only short term), tramadol, Gabapentin. It is highly likely that the Tylenol #3 could have caused liver damage due to the acetaminophen usage. How was the patient fully aware of his entire family history when he was estranged from his family. Had he done a full detailed history from mom and father side? It didn’t necessarily have to be genetic it totally could have been chemically induced. Also the patient has the right to know what medications he is taking. Any medication i prescribe I ensure patients are aware what it is for and the mechanisms of action. Even inmates as they are patients as well. I always end its with “do you understand what you taking this for or have any questions. So yes although the physical picture of what was going on with him looked bad but I can physically see if. ThIs is why we have to educate educate educate!!,
