The biggest wave that someone has surfed on was 24.4 meters tall (80 feet). It happened in November of 2018. Tsunamis can be around this height but for our purposes let's go a little bigger and say ours is 30 meters tall (100 feet). But if you want to surf on a tsunami - and we don’t recommend you do it - you’ll most likely have to travel to Japan or the Philippines.

The thought of Tsunami really does scare me. Even a regular wave can already push me and make me tumble under water like crazy (because I'm tiny). And the rocks can cause bruises and wounds already. So having a wave that huge crashing into the coast and the cities is just a devastating thought. and I can't imagine what victims and survivors of tsunamis went through 😓😔 It's seriously not a joke. I used to live in one of those countries in Pacific coast so it's really scary. Lucky for the westerners they don't have to worry about it as much.

Ppl typically think of fire being the dangerous element and water is essential for life and is peaceful and is the opposite of fire so we usually think more positive about it automatically

That has happened to me once when I was younger. It’s not like it was a huge deadly wave, but I was always a small person so I was continuously being dragged under water against the shore and I was scraping against all the shells. I remember my mom just not even worrying about it so I got internally angry at her for not helping me when I finally managed to escape the water. She wonders why I hate going to the beach.

Brandon Harrigin it would depend. Does the bunker have an air tight foundation and seal? And the bunker would have to be completely constructed independently of the earth so no water could seep through and fill in the bunker. It would also have to have an independent air filtration system so you can still breath but in theory if all these things are built properly. Yes an underground bunker could protect you from a tsunami
