No Triston could make this run a little smoother. If Joey faces Rex here then he could be in trouble though. Such a shame Solomon had to sell his card to pay for the eye operation. At least it all worked out there.

It’s unfortunate we had to cut Tristan, but that’s ultimately what I felt worked best for this scenario. For the second one, that’s assuming we’re giving him the same deck he has in Canon Duelist Kingdom and I don’t think Solomon would want to risk his granddaughter’s eyesight for a card his friend gave him.

Dont get me wrong I get why you decided to go to Sub for more story but the Shadow Realm always made sense to me in terms of when people return from it. Like "Oh I returned from death" never really made sense when compared from "Oh I returned from the Shadow Realm"

Yeah, well, I see you did a great job with this Yugioh What-if story since there aren't as many of them. One big novel story for this is of course little caribou's Abridged series. I did find the Shadow Realm concept to be funny though it does make it more exciting and intensive with the death games.
