He is the cutest! I would keep him in the house, too. I raised a squirrel, and he still sleeps in the house after spending all day outside. I helped him build his drey, and he still uses it. I love him dearly! So I know exactly how you feel about him!

I was born and raised on a small farm in rural northeast ohio, we didn't have brooder boxes, over the years lots of little chicken chicks found their way under my chin at night untill mom could put something together for em, 2-3 days in the house inside my shirt most the day and under my chin all night I couldn't go the bathroom without chicks following me, needless say, I love the vids with chicks lol. Love everything you guy are doing there it makes remember the days gone by.

They are farm cats so they are used to being there for their job- go after the mice! It was a fantastic introduction and exactly what you want from any animal interaction- slight interest/curiosity and then ignoring/keeping space. It couldn't have gone better!

Papyrus would be a cute name, its fibrous plant that was once more commonly used for paper. one species I know of is called walking papyrus, as the tall stalks bend over and touch the ground the plant extend its root system. Sending up a new stalk to fall over and continue the cycle. Plus it fits an emus long legs
