every mistake has a cost to pay...the earlier you resolve, minimum the cost will be. As it gets older, it becomes costlier in exponential sense. Few of the mistakes that Indian leadership did in past and now look like mamoth now.. 1. Kashmir issue (Nehru was never a statesman but a local leader. Sardar Patel, Baba Saheb were much capable) 2. Reservation (its no more a welfare scheme but a tool for regional division and politics. who ever benefits, never look back and try to uplift society but just keeps on exploiting it with his family) 3. Socialist mind set of North India. (By product of this is politics over caste lines, very less or no industrialization, demoralizing business houses, hating wealth creators although enjoying their services, poor infra, big population) All of these small problems in the starting. Look at them now.

Nice story but One thing is clear, Kashmir is occupied by India. There are three forms of any annexation. In one case, the people were included in the referendum, but the Kashmiri people were not. Otherwise, the state assembly should join. That too did not happen. The third case is that the ruler joins. When the people revolted and expelled Maharaja Hari Singh, he fled to Jammu. So the annexed document of the ruler who was dethroned by the people has no legal status.
